Guys, does the Last City have roads?

It’s actually crazy how little we know about the cities infrastructure or even like its geography. But yeah, does it have roads? Cause I doubt anything has wheels in the city, and I’m pretty sure sparrows are only used by guardians. We know of very little other vehicles outside of ships. When you look down in the city you can see what looks like train lines so I assume they got hella good public transport. I mean it makes sense not to have roads or personal vehicles, considering the city probably wouldn’t want to waste space on parking garages or large highways when they really should be trying to fit the most amount of residents it can.

  • Oh there would be roads for sure and vehicles to boot. Food and supplies need to be moved around. Finished goods moved to storefronts. Civilians do have vehicles. Your forgetting the transmat system makes consolidating easier but as you said, congestion being a thing makes public transportation a mandatory thing. I mean, I don’t see the need for much story about the City. It’s been portrayed a slice of everything crammed in. The people seem decent and collectively work towards the common good, few bad apples aside. The most notable thing is the minimal levels of corruption. But ironically that’s because it was supposed to be a major theme and they flipped it. So the deep lore for the City, if it existed, had to be scrapped.
