What was the purpose of sunseting
Bungie you sunset recluse and mountaintop and lunas howl because they were op in the game now your brining them back are you starting to sunset our gear again like didn’t you learn from beyond light no this causes fear

I was absolutely outspoken about it because I was certain they didn’t have the proper weapons to replace what we had. They went about it in the wrong way. With that said they needed to do it with pinnacle weapons. They were broken and needed to be sunset. I’m glad I’m getting back my legendary weapons in better forms though.

We’ve powercrept a shitload since then, and MT/recluse are heavily nerfed versions of what they were before. Old MT/recluse would STILL be overpowered in today’s meta which just shows how absurd they were.

The purpose of sunsetting and was to give Bungie a shortcut to develop seasonal content to keep up with the 3 month content cycle they put themselves in Reissue sunset weapons has seasonal caviots, and add dressing on vaulted location assets and call it new seasonal content -
Take it away. Bring it back later as a substitute for new content. That has been the way for a long time.
