Game crashes ever since the latest update.
In activity and free roaming, Game crashes. I noticed when others are not using the skimmer, the game doesn't crash, but when others and myself are using the skimmer the game crashes. Maybe Bungie can fix this soon since I'm heavy grinding guardian games, Go Hunters!
UPDATE:
I tried it on both my computers(same two instances occured. both with the new skimmer-which crashed the game and same activities without skimmers-the game did not crash), both computers; with RTX GPU 4090 and my laptop with GTX 1660 SUPER. It's not GPU nor drivers. Everything is updated. It's the game.

Yeah it's happening to me. It isn't every run of a strike sure but it certainly isn't uncommon either. No idea what Skimmers do to the servers but it's doing something with connections and it's sad, cause it's so fun to use. In all fairness we do have to deal with Telesto.. shouldn't be surprised by what can break the game at this point

1 ReplyYep same here. Insta-crashes to desktop with no error message. Not had crash issues in over 3 years playing and now about 8 crashes in the last week or so - mostly while free-roaming with skimmer, but this morning I had TWO within 30 minutes after zoning into Europa not using skimmer. Last night I (PC) and my friend (PS5) insta-crashed just goofing off with skimmers.

If someone dies out of bounds while using a skimmer everyone’s game crashes.

It does it on Xbox series X too. Game freezes then booted back to Xbox home page - no error code given. This is like when the API went down before. I HOPE this weeks maintenance FIXES this. (Tuesday or Thursday PLEASE) Oh, I put the Board & Ship in the Vault, only have the class items on all 3 characters - may be its those that are at fault?

Yeah its the skimmer I guess seems odd though when not even using it game will just shut down with no errors . But another problem that really is a poor way to run the game. Is not being able to select a master level dungeon unless its in rotation really slows the game play down and you leave and play a different game at least I have . It took way to long, bad rng system to finally get the hierarchy of needs bow . But you can't even get the dumb catalyst because the dungeon don't offer master level unless its in rotation this needs fixed such a lame way to run a game. They shouldn't tie catalyst to master level game play in the first place when the bow drops in normal mode. Whoever was or is in charge of this stuff needs to think things through a little better.

I don't use the skimmer, and I can confirm it crashes even without yourself using one. For the record someone was spamming the kick flip thingy on one in front of me, so clearly it has something to do with the input spam.

I think this happens when you kill an unholy amount of things because the only times I have crashed is when I fire off a trinity goul lightning rod or the warlock melee
