A freelance option for every playlist splits the population even further and affects matchmaking.
How would you feel about a single Freelance playlist (adapt the Rumble playlist so that there are more game modes in rotation)?

Bungie should just add a 1v1 mode; players can solo to their heart's content.

I actually played a fair bit of 1v1 Halo against a friend, many years ago. But it was split screen and you could see where the other person was hiding. I don’t know if I’d enjoy it as much, not having the split screen and spending a lot of time just trying to find the other person. Although, maybe Bungie could expand the radar to counteract that.

Ah, split screen; that takes me back to the days of yore, blowing an entire weekend playing Goldeneye with friends, lol. I have to assume it can be managed somehow since players run 1v1 on private matches. Perhaps Bungie could make it so only the smaller maps would be used, eliminating ones like Disjunction and Multiplex (or whatever it's called, the Vex one).

Goldeneye!!! At uni we had 4 player spilt screen going for hours most nights. People sitting watching, waiting to swap over (winner stays on). One time I went 1v1 against the best player from our group, playing the Golden Gun game mode. It took me over 30 matches to finally get a win! I love that game so much. Do you know there’s a new Bond game in development called Project 007? I’m really hoping it’s got a fun PvP mode attached.

I did indeed! Given the popularity of PvP modes these days I think it would be foolish for the devs to omit something like that, especially with the opportunity it would represent with players reminiscing about Goldeneye.

If we allow players to choose either freelance or team mode, it's true that it splits the population for a moment. Team list will be almost barren, and they will eventually move to freelance as solos. As has happened in the past. We could just go freelance only and the same effect would be immediate. How to fix the split up population in Crucible? How about not having 7 different modes to choose from? I think two modes would be enough for this population: 1. Connection based casual freelance 6v6 2. Rank based 3v3 for competive stuff About your single rotator idea, maybe. It's not the best choice imo, but any freelance is better than none.
