I'm not sure when this started but whenever I am in a fireteam I cannot hear anyone's microphone. I see their icon but it never even activates. Players have confirmed in text chat that they can hear me just fine. I have changed my default devices everywhere (don't tell me to check gamebar.) I'm not sure what I can really do about this because the in game settings for voice chat are very limited. I have seemingly done everything outside of the game that I can at this point. I frequently join activities via the Bungie.net fireteam finder and would love to be able to talk to my fellow guardians again.
