Update Gambit or remove it completely
Still waiting to hear ANYTHING gambit related from Bungie. No new maps, no new enemy types, no new weapons or armor. And the Drifters character is narratively useless. Keep bringing me emotes of dark, so I can do absolutely nothing with them for years. How exciting. Let’s not forget the big allegiance choice we had to make. You know, the one that would have future “consequences”. What a joke. This franchise has become 90% concept and 10% delivery. SMH

Add a new game without motes. Something like taken war matches to summon allie takens to fight in a crucible matches, or capture the Flag with taken allies.

Bungie gives a -blam!- to the community. That's the headline. Incompetence in all areas.

I would love to see new maps added(even the 2 vaulted ones would be nice) as well as a whole range of new weapons and add all of the old ones to the legacy focusing.

1 ReplyBungie has no reason to update Gambit, neither to remove it. Gambit has been abbandoned for years now and with the fact that in the state of the game before the launch of Lightfall it wasn't even mentioned, it is implied they have no interess to take care of it. Also, any effort towards Gambit would be a waste of time, money and resources because it would be added as F2P contents, which means Bungie can't monetize it (exactly as new PvP Maps or Strikes). At the same time, why remove it? It is still "something" more to do and keep players busy somehow through Seasonal Challenges ecc. It's there, who wants to play it can do it and that's it.

1 ReplyBring back the maps they took from it if they won’t/can’t add new ones. Give gambit the taken armour/shader, sword and shotgun from D1. More would play the mode then. I’m tired of the same maps!

1 ReplyI always see Gambit needs a new map and new ads to fight off. To be honest I wanna see a new game mode one that doesn't have invasion in my opinion.. but a new mode that just runs like Menagerie I sorely missed since it got removed and Calus is now just nothing meaning as the story goes. A Gambit mode Menagerie that's raid-like as it was described when it first arrived. That'll be sweet to have some fun with how it can work.

1 ReplyI've had a theory for the longest tine that the reason why nothing has been done with Ganbit is because no one at Bungie ever worked on it. They either don't care enough to do anything with it because it was never their pet project, or they don't know how to do anything with it because they don't know how it was built.

They even have a lore reason to remove it. The drifter said once the darkness ships hit our system he was leaving and getting as far away as he could. I wish we saw him leave in his ship and gambit just disappeared at the start of lightfall. Then we go meet him for one of the new seasons.

there is a mode called Gambit, that mode where good pve work is utterly ruined by 1 player in God mode, no thanks biggest pie e of crap ever put in a game
