'SMG Nerf'

Ok im gonna just state that smgs need a nerf i think everyone can agree that smgs right now in pvp are way to dominant rivalling that of the ar meta back in worthy, i know bungie has a nerf in mind but thanks to more leaks seeming to be true it seems the nerfs wont be enough, the main issue with smgs is there forgiveness/ease of use there way to stable at far away for a gun that's meant to be a cqc weapon additionally there range pushes into auto territory making it next to impossible to adjust/buff autos without power creeping smgs and then making autos the new outlier that needs a nerf. SMGs shouldn't be beaming from 27 meters they should be capped at 20 ish not entering 720 auto range, if we are to nerf them finally we need to tackle the main issue (there range) and not cherry pick like usual, smgs have been a issue for a few seasons now so surely a proper nerf should be in order to bring them back in line. How would you lot nerf them if you could ???

  • No smgs don't need a nerf, they need a rework, while other weapons need to be buffed back to previous states. Smgs reload slow as snail snot and have stupid range. these should act more like single bullet stream shotties with light fast reloads. Assault rifles should be longer range but slower heavier weapons by a margin. pulse rifles just really shouldn't even exist, but rather sit as a mod on assault weapons to increase accuracy and precision damage with the burst as a forced stop trade off. Pellet shots should do long range light "bleed damage" hindering movement and causing dot, while slugs should be similar to snipers but reload very very slowly. Art imitates life, but video games really imitate nothing..... Well maybe the Aliens movies as that's the only place a burst only assault weapon exists. There's too much emphasis on weapon balance when there should be more on situational balance.
