Why do we need both Control and Clash in 1 Playlist? So that we have a 50/50 chance of not having fun in Team-PvP?

I am not a fan of clash. Never was a fan of it in Destiny 1 and never will be a fan of it in Destiny 2. Most of my clash matches in Team Quickplay are either total blowouts or long no-chance-for-comeback matches that end because of match timer. Why do we need them both in a single playlist? It's just not a smart or good solution. For all the people loving Control, it is a 50/50 chance of "you might have fun in Team Quickplay" and for the Clash loving people it is ALSO a 50/50 chance of "you might have fun in Team Quickplay". I really don't get why Bungie is not taking the Risk of giving players choice with playlists, instead of "insisting" on having multimode-playlists in this game. Bungie said in the past (afaik) that they do it because "the playlist populations are too small"... Well, guess what? Maybe THEY ARE so low BECAUSE we have no free choices of what to play when we want it to play? Maybe THAT is the entire roots problem? That we feel "not catered enough to" with the design decisions made? Of course I, as a veteran player, am annoyed (and a bit biased) because of not only the design but what has been taken from us in the past. But look at it from a new players perspective. A new player might say (possibly foolishly) "Ay, I wanna try some crucible, looks fun" and jumps into Team Quickplay. That player gets a control match, enjoys it because of objective game mode preference, only to then realize that the next 3 matches are all diced as Clash which is a game mode the player DOESN'T like. That "looks funs" will quickly turn to "that is not fun at all". And ironically, that is not made up. That is what one of my (less good) friends did experience when trying out PvP for the first time. 1-2 matches were fun and felt for him like he is playing on his level but once it is a different game mode it suddenly becomes super sweaty and unfun for him. So much so that he gave up on PvP and avoids it as much as possible. He loves Gambit a lot instead but also hates it at the same time because of team imbalances often there too. Exposing people to stuff they don't like won't make them like it any more than they already dislike it. In most cases, it only will encourage the disliking for certain activities and ruins the fun for the player, resulting in said players NOT PLAYING, resulting in the playlist DYING. Again, why do we need to have both modes in Team Quickplay? Why can't it just be 1x "Control" and 1x "Clash" node on the crucible screen ADDITIONAL to the Team Quickplay node? People that prefer to play a single specific mode can then play with/against like-minded people and the people that don't mind can still use the "Team Quickplay" playlist (that is btw on console at 3-4AM MEZ empty af anyways) I rather go play an entire day control or not play PvP at all that day than search voluntarily for a Clash match. Same is very likely true for all the people hating Control and preferring Clash. But sadly we are not allowed to have the choice. It is either "play your favorite team mode with a 50% chance to be selected" or "not play at all".
