I always carry Cerberus+1 with the ornament that you can buy for silver. Besides the four barrels, it doesn’t look that different from a normal auto rifle. I love this gun and always imagine is as my guardian’s weapon of choice.
The first instance was after my first Defiant Battlegrounds. The commendations screen showed me with Khostov instead of Cerberus, but I passed it off as a one time glitch.
The second instance was just now when I finished the Lightfall campaign for the first time. The final cutscene shows me, without my helmet, once again holding a Khostov instead of my Cerberus.
I have an unfortunate suspicion that this was done on purpose, possibly to prevent guns that don’t match the animation. This annoys me because I love seeing my unique character in cutscenes. It makes me feel immersed in the story, and I was glad to finally see one where my guardian talks without his helmet for the first time since Shadowkeep. This cutscene was almost perfect in that it had him without his helmet, talking, and holding his gun. We were so close to perfection.
Edit: yeah, it’s definitely on purpose if you notice how the guardian holds their gun with two hands and so closely to their shoulder. I just hope that trick won’t be used often in the future so we can have more accurate cutscenes.
The commendations screen always has everyone holding kstov and the final cutscene makes your character use kstov. They can do it for the season of the haunted final cutscene, but not an expansion worth 50 bucks apparently
