Destiny won't log in through XBOX PC app but will on XBOX Series S

Not sure what happened but Destiny won't let me play through the XBOX app on my Windows 11 PC all of a sudden. I have all my DLC purchased through the XBOX PC app so that is my primary device to play on. Here is what happened: Yesterday I logged in through my PC and played for about 20 minutes. After that I logged out and returned to play an hour later only to find that I keep getting a "Destiny 2 Servers Are Unavailable" error. I checked my internet connection but other games work on my PC as well as other devices on my internet so it shouldn't be that. I even reset my network and router. After checking for XBOX and Destiny updates, I decided to try and log in through my XBOX Series S and when I did, I was prompted with a message that basically said that I was already logged in on my PC and if I wanted to be logged out there and play on the XBOX console instead. I said yes and proceeded to play on the console with no issues. I then quit Destiny on my XBOX console and returned to my PC to try and play there again. Same Destiny 2 server error popped up. I then decided to uninstall D2 and setup my computer to download and install overnight. The next morning I tried D2 and still got the server error. I immediately tried playing on the XBOX console and I logged in fine, this time not getting the prompt that I was logged in elsewhere. I played for an hour or two then tried to log back in to D2 on my PC and still have the same server error. Anyone know how else I can rectify this?

  • Still no luck with playing on my PC and not sure why. I am not being given any specifics through D2 as far as why or what the issue might be. Updated D2 to the newest version 0.1.45519.0 from 12/13/22. Tried to login, still getting server error. Tried logging in with a new account that's never played D2 on my PC, same server error. Uninstalled XBox app and reinstalled from Microsoft store to ensure newest version. Relaunched D2, same error. Restarted PC and tried to relaunch D2, same error. What is going on here? Every time I log in from my Xbox Series S, it's telling me I'm logged in on my PC. It's almost like somehow I'm logged into D2 in the background on my PC and since you can't run multiple instances of the game simultaneously, it won't let me in. Is this a bug on Bungie's side? Are other people getting this issue? This isn't making any sense and it's a getting beyond frustrating. Luckily I can play on my console but I'm a keyboard and mouse player and all my DLC is on my PC. I just bought the legacy expansion and the new season pass, too.
