Personally, I play Destiny just for the gameplay and don’t care for the loot all too much. I wish light level and the grind associated with it was removed so I could just play GM Nightfalls whenever I want with whoever I want, instead of hoping my friends will grind enough that season to be able to play the content I enjoy with me.

I used to honestly care about the game, then realised I only still play it out of habit with minimal enjoyment........ It just feels old & creaky!
-
I used to play it as a time killer and something that lets me have a connection with my oldest son. But I don't play much at all anymore and he mostly plays other games now.
-
My father died last year and my family is going through multiple traumas. I play to avoid dealing with reality for a few hours.
-
I wanted to get Unbroken before it went away. I gilded it too which was cool
-
It's not perfect but there's nothing really like it. In fact presently, it's shite!

Too farm and make make Bungies protected species quit the game

1)The main reason is that the combat, the weapons, the movement feels great, especially on a controller. No other game comes even close... except Titanfall. Yeah I know I can play Apex, but I don't like BR. Halo, COD, Overwatch have garbage mobility in comparison. 2) When doing some endgame like raids or GMs you can meet really cool people. Yeah you can meet a-holes too, but that's life.

At the moment I barely am. Log in on a Tuesday to check eververse, maybe do some bounties for next season. Not sure I'll finish the season pass next time to be honest.
-
No other live service game comes close to the gameplay. If there was one with offline capabilities I’d be gone in a sec. Characters? Deleted. Money invested? Who cares. 🤣
-
Stopped playing for a good couple months and more, and for the better. Used to play it but often came off as negative and b¡tchy. Warframe's been treating me well though, that and other games.
-
I still enjoy crucible… sometimes 😆 Usually playing with fam.
-
All of the above. One of the biggest motivations, though, is triumph grinding. It is very satisfying to me.
-
I enjoy the gameplay and build tinkering. Also choosing exactly how much I wanna commit to a session.

I barely play at this point. Mostly check eververse for the weekly free ornaments and banshee for potential god roll. I was a pvp comp player but long ago they killed much of my interest in it. As of two weeks i've been playing almost exclusively Warzone 2. It's f2p and i don't even need to buy a playstation plus to play the pvp. I let that lapse since Destiny pvp is all but abandoned except for Streamers of Osiris. Originally, I played, as an alternative arena pvp shooter to COD Advanced Warfare. I wasn't big on the pve but i do like open world exploration games like GTA so Patrol filled that interest. That's why taken king was so effective. In addition to other good content it had lots to do and explore in the open world of the Dreadnought. In fact in d1 my most time spent activities were Crucible and Patrol. Not strikes or raids or story. I'm not an MMO person. I'm not interested in repetitive/tedious grind. It's a negative not a positive. D1 i played mostly pvp, because each game unfolds differently so i didn't get borer. Where as running the same strikes 100 to get a good Imago loop i find so painful it could be a villian origin story. D2 i lived in comp for several seasons but with killing pinnacles, nerfs, no maps, no vendor refreshes, and abandoning pvp. I only play Destiny when i'm like super unemployed, have nothing to do, and it's heavily discounted and/or free. Like i was unemployed over xmas, and home for 3 weeks and i had some playstation coupon and got beyond light and a season for like $10. it was fine to stave off the xmas boredom and depression. Then, i played Witch queen during the free week. Epic had Anniversary free so i played that through Geforce. But i won't pay for Destiny unless it's dirt cheap and my life situation means i'm between work and have free time.

Different reason honestly Made friends over the years I like the core gameplay of abilities and gun perks I like chasing new gear and titles I like doing the quest, raids ,dungeon and mission Is the game perfect ? No Is the game unique ?yes Is the game deserve this much hate? No especially when the core "issue" is what other loved game does but way worst But hey bad player will always lie to get change ...they just hasn't realised that bungie caught on it a long time ago

11% who shouldn’t even be here 🙄
-
Like the movement, space magic and shooting things in the head, the rest is forgettable.
-
Destiny is cool.. I main pvp but when I want something I’ll go into pve to get it. Maybe that’s why I don’t suffer burnout as much as others who run everything 3 x a week. I don’t like the fact I cannot now play pvp drunk anymore.. I go from 30+ kills and 2.+ kd to 💩💩💩💩 after a few 🍺🍺🍺 This I do not like. Make pvp qp drunk friendly again 🙏🏼

Well it was lore. The game has a fascinating history and the source material is vast. But umm. Lately? NezCafe was just dumb. The Eliksni event showed barely any effort. It’s like they are shitting on their own IP. As Mr. Horse would say: No sir, I didn’t like it.

Edited by vinstri: 12/1/2022 7:04:43 PM– I like the mix of superpowers and weapons. I like the variety of weapons. – I like having the independence to play whatever part of the game I want. - The art, design, and world-building look good. A game needs to look like a place I want to invest hours of my day visiting. They nailed the look and feel of the game. - The lore and story used to matter to me. That's fragmented now. - Short PVP matches. Short activities. Choices for the time I want to spend doing activities. - Getting friends/clan together for Nightfalls and Raids, etc. - The choice to play solo or with friends/clan. - The community used to be chill and helpful and it wasn't toxic. That made a huge difference. - Even though this has needed massive improvement for years, I liked the choices for character builds and classes. The choice to make a decent female guardian made a huge difference. - Now? The time I've invested in it.

Its fun, but not with SBMM

Edited by Muninn: 12/1/2022 7:32:48 PMThis game used to be fun, now it's just a chore, I just don't feel it anymore. Everything they release in the season's is dumb and meaningless; the perfect example of a mile wide and an inch deep. I don't understand how we can go from the Witch Queen to this...

Blade Of The Traveler - old
Because with so much death in the real world, it is nice to live in a world where people can come back 😢
