This issue has been plaguing me for a while now. I don't know how to fix it after various attempts. Every time I start D2 it crashes my PC. The error code that happens most often is "ATTEMPTED_WRITE_TO_READONLY_MEMORY". There are other error codes, but this is the most common. I have updated the NVIDIA drivers, I have checked the windows memory troubleshooter, I have made sure D2 is allowed through my firewall, I have even tried to reset my PC. It's still crashing. My last thing I have yet to try is updating or resetting the BIOS. But somehow I don't think this will help. But the strange this is, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. It usually works after I play a different game for a while. I have no idea why. All of the other games I have downloaded work completely fine. D2 is the only one that does this. I need help here.
