It would need a massive buff.
It was one of the worst exotics they’ve made functionally speaking.

Edited by ACROCANTHUS: 4/9/2022 9:52:53 PMAll it would really need is a stat buff I could see it being a weapon that could swap types and fire rate and that working, but only if it is above average in all stats to make up for a lack of an "exotic" perk and let's us swap scopes. And rather than being a "scout" "auto" or "pulse" rifle it is just a "rifle" and benefits from anti champion mods for auto pulse or scout rifles.
-
If people want to keep it as is it’s never going to be anything more than a garbage legendary that just happens to take up your exotic slot.
-
Edited by ACROCANTHUS: 4/9/2022 10:13:56 PMThe thing is, if it gets a stat boost to all stats on all modes to make it always above average in every stat, which is what I said, then it won't be a "garbage legendary that happens to take up an exotic slot"
-
If it doesn’t actually have good perks to back it up, arbitrarily inflated stats don’t mean a damn thing.
-
They sure do when stats decide how good a weapon feels. If a weapon has best in class stats in every single stat, it's going to feel really good.
I advocate for a genuinely bad exotic
Lmao. The Kvhostov will never be good as it is. It’s one of the worst weapons they’ve made and that won’t change without a massive buff/overhaul.
-
Giving the gun best in class in all stats IS a massive buff.

I don't think it would need a MASSIVE buff. Probably just an exotic perk that isn't super amazing but still useful. I personally think the customizability of it might outweigh the fact it doesn't have an exotic perk, but I might be wrong.
-
It only had like 1-2 setups that actually functioned. And it was always many times worse than just using a normal legendary. It would need an overhaul/huge buff for it to ever be anything other than more nostalgia bait.
-
All the setups should work as intended. For a pulse, auto, or scout. And it could have access to every champion mod. It just seems like the Khvostov should be our Guardians M4. Not the best for everything, but reliable if we need it
-
That’s just not a good concept for an exotic. “Yeah, it’s not good at anything and it kinda sucks. But hey, it looks cool”.
-
Ummm... no it's not? It would rotate in and out of meta for crucible and could hold any champion mod. It's purpose is to be whatever you need for the position you're in. Dependent on archetype buffs or nerfs, this concept could keep it usable for a long time
-
There would literally never be a reason to use it over a Legendary just like in D1. Because it does everything that everything else can, just significantly worse. If you have the time to switch around firing modes and RPMs, you have the time to just equip a different weapon that isn’t genuinely worthless. And having all champ mods on a weapon is a pipe dream and isn’t going to happen. Have fun with that one.
-
You really can't see outside the box here. Whatevs. You can't see how it would be used and that's cool. Have a nice afternoon
-
Sorry that I don’t -blam!- for one of the worst weapons they’ve ever made.
-
I guess that's fair. Hopefully if they do add it, it'll receive a buff. I thought considering how customizable it is, it would be pretty good.
