On the road to Old Vienna
It is hard to keep on going. Isn't it kid? Even though you have tho power of a GOD. DO IT AGAIN!
The kid just sat under the pouring rain. It didn't seem to bother him anymore. Neither did the wound on his hand and feet. He felt like an empty boat adrift in the sea without knowing where he came from or where he was heading to. There was only the rain, the road and the insistant and constant voice.
DO IT! MAKE LIGHTNING! Do something entretaining, for the Traveler's sake!
The rain continue to hit the old road and fills its many holes and puddles.
Where am I?
The boy asks to himslef. He analyzes his suroundings for the first time (
The first time since?
). It seemed to have been a street once filled with people...
People. People! MY PEOPLE!
A pain suddenly invades his thin, starved body, his knees hitting the ground
Ah, ah, ah. Nooooo, nonono.
The voice, seconds ago a mere afterthought now boomed in his ears.
You don't get to call them 'your people' anymore, not after what you did to them. Don't get me wrong, it's not as if it matters anyways, you have big things in your future. They would have just dragged you...
The boy got up from the ground, not without a great deal of effort.
Out...
. The kid muttered through the rain.
WHAT. DID. YOU. SAY? You insignificant piece of human FILTH.
The pain intensified, but the boy stood. This was the moment. In its rage, the beast loosened the grip on his mind. The rain stopped. Maybe it had never been there. When the beast realised what was going on it was too late. In its rage it had acquired a physical form. The boy found the beast amongst some ruins, a raging blue glow in his eyes. The beast froze trying to flea to the depths of his consciousness from whence it came. It was a moonless night, but the skiy lit up as if it was the middle of the day, and an arc volt crossed the street to desintegrate the ruined building and the beast within. Silence. Crickets. It is summer. and he remembers in pain and shame that he killed every last one of them. His memories were broken, except for those terrible last moments, and some sweet memories that made the deed even worse. But strangely enough he couldn't remember their names. Which of them were his parents or his friends? He wept on the old tarmac. But then he did remember one last hing as he finally stood up: They were on the road to Old Vienna.
