Now, I know you guys are getting a ton of flack right now for the Trials labs thing, so I thought I'd present something a little more upbeat. I know many players have said this, but compare the Destiny 1 armor design language to the Destiny 2 design language. To me, the Destiny one armors all stand out as unique and each have their own obviously consistent themes. The introduction of chroma, for example, was something I really liked back in the day. Each armor piece had it's cool unique and distinct design, and the player could change the glow of each piece individually to suit their taste. I personally always used the blue or white glow with the Superblack shader. I'm sure those reading this can relate to the nostalgia for the old armor designs. With that in mind, I'd like to see some newer armor designs that follow the old recipe. The prophecy dungeon armor is a good example of Destiny 2 armor that has a clear theme that stands out, and is one of very few somewhat symmetrical armor sets. It's my personal favorite armor in Destiny 2, even though I don't have it yet, it's one I hope to complete on all my characters eventually. The last time I had that distinct drive to get cool looking armor was back in the Age of Triumph days of Destiny 1. Those sets are to date the coolest looking armor designs you've ever made, period. The King's Fall armor and any of the other Hive themed gear was always my personal favorite, so when I saw the Thorn armor designs, it literally made me teary eyed from the nostalgia of seeing the old Hive armor type gear. I've seen some very, very cool looking armor designs based on each of the enemy factions in Destiny 2, and I've always looked at them and thought, "I wish this was in the game." There's [i]some[/i] armor that's kind of themed around the Fallen or scorn, but it just doesn't give off the same feel. We have these cool themed exotic armor ornaments, but no legendary armor sets that match them. The current designs in game all feel inconsistent, unthemed, and most of them don't give off that old spark like the Destiny 1 armor did. Say what you want about rose tinted glasses, but you can't deny those old raid armors far outclass the Destiny 2 raid armor designs, or the unique Strike specific armor designs, like the Psion Flayer cloaks for hunters. With the topic of armor out of the way, I'd like to move on to the topic of Shaders. I understand Destiny 2 uses a different engine for shaders, but those old clean shaders we had back in Destiny 1 were all so worth getting, which isn't something I can honestly say about Destiny 2's shaders. There are significantly more shaders in Destiny 2, and I use maybe 1/3rd at most of what's in the game. Very few shaders stand out with a clean cool look, and if you want that, you're stuck between either red or white or that one gambit shader I see everyone using. All I'm asking for is some shaders that have some pizazz, that stand out, that are clean cut and match properly, and I know you can do it, you did it for 3-4 years in Destiny 1. Keep in mind, I'm not griping or whining about how Destiny 1 had all this or all that while Destiny 2 doesn't. I'm very passionate about this game, and everything in it, and I figure I might as well speak my mind if I even hope to make a change. You guys have only impressed me recently. The fact that you're listening is something I find extremely admirable. I know you aren't 343, but take a look at how far they've come with your old franchise. People used to hate what they did with it, and as 343 started to listen and implement what people were asking for, the players only got happier and happier, particularly in the area of artistic design.
