i had this thought scrolling the destiny fashion subreddit. i found a lot of nice designs that i want to replicate but the armor is something that i one don't have and two cant get anymore. so i had this idea. what if there was a way to get these armor pieces again but specifically for transmog. this also applies to the seasonal track armor aswell (more on that later). so how would you get the armor that is now in the content vault. one simple answer. five letters one word. quest. it would act like a weekly thing like the current pvp/pve powerful tier one activities from shaxx drifter and Zavala work minus the bounty work. so you would pick up you quest and do the objective. examples of these objectives would be like for strike complete a certain amount of nightfall strikes. for crucible i would be like kill this many enemies. and for gambit it could be like deposit this many motes. doing this would award you with a piece of legacy armor from that activity (note: for gambit this includes the gambit prime sets and for crucible this includes the old iron banner set and trials of osris sets with the old trials armor having a lower chance of dropping). this would also work like a exotic engram by giving you armor that you do not have yet (trials armor still has a chance to drop but a higher chance on trials weekends and there for the giving of what you do not have yet doesn't apply to the trials armor due to the chance of it dropping). i just feel like this would be something new players can tackle and players who want to update there collection. it will also help for people who get nothing to do something to do. as for the legacy raid armor i haven't thought of a way to get them yet. maybe someone you comments on this can come up with an idea for that. now as for seasonal track ornament and armor (so seasonal armor sets and there ornaments) you can get them from that season vendor (if the vendor is no longer in the game then the vendor will become a important still visit able character (for example: if Ana bray where the season vendor but Zavala played a big role then Zavala would become the vendor). the same rule for the online activity vendors but the quest could be focused around the specific enemy of that season (so for undying the vex and for worthy the cabal). or the weapon group that came out in that season (like get kills with seventh seraph weapons). now reward wise is tricky. when you complete it you will get a normal armor piece. when you get all the normal armor (so not the ornaments) you have a higher chance of getting the ornaments, but not a guaranteed chance. however this chance raise each time you do not get a ornament and the chance boost resets after you get one. these quest you could complete three time per week but only once per day (so lets say you get one at rest and 1 pm est and complete it, the next one wont be available for the next 24 hours), this is manly for the ideas of new players but also so the game doesn't dry out so quickly before the next reset. i hope you take this into consideration. i will even make this a poll to see what the rest of the community thinks about it.
