In the current state of shotgunning lightweight frames seem to be the king with their quick speed and ability to put in fast chip damage. Rapid fire frames on the other hand struggle to do anything meaningful. I think they need some sort of buff in some way to make them viable. Where they are now you have to use two shots to secure a kill which is good and It's how bungie wants this frame to play but there are issues with this. By the time you have to get within 5 meters to get a two shot kill, someone can just hit you with a lightweight shotgun (and if they don't flat out kill you) they will just follow up with a melee. I've been trying to get a good roll on the Deicide shotgun so if they get buffed I'll have it but I think that even if I got the perfect roll it still wouldn't be able to be used in any competitive scenario. I'm hoping bungie comes up with some special use for these weapons because other than pve they are practically useless. One idea I had was to add something to the intrinsic perk on rapid fire Frame shotguns that says "While in a slide, this weapon fires even faster and is more lethal". I think this could promote the already run n gun playstyle it has going for it. Kind of like how aggressive frames get an increase in fire rate after a kill this would recieve one in a slide. At this point any help for these weapons would go a long way because I'd love to see them used more. Or maybe just bring back Perfect Parardox with random rolls because that was the king of Rapid Fire Frames.
