Not exactly, its just the boss of the design team, it ensures everything they make is what the goal is supposed to be (so he just makes sure everything is up to par he actually does nothing)

Thats not what i said at all He wasn’t part of the design team itself, he was the one who made sure they made what was required Like a headman at a Constrution site makes sure what the workers are doing is requested, in that situation the headman can help but in this one he cant help He isn’t the one who designed the raid hes the guy who made sure the raid cane out the way for the guy who designed it. I can link you what a lead design does if I didn’t explain it good enough

Because its a chain of command you have someone who issues orders and someone to make sure the people working are doing their job So you pay that person to ensure the works done good

Luke Smith wasnt barking commands either This is a game development studio, and the people who were working at the time were actually competent devs who had a passion intead a want for money I cant remember who the top person at bungie at the time was but they were the one to propose the idea Its a complex thing that was never disclosed, well the part that wasn’t disclosed was the actual development process and keep in mind Bungie was still owned by Activison

Imagine thinking the Lead Designer is some big important role in making content https://www.zippia.com/lead-designer-jobs/what-does-a-lead-designer-do/ He helps plan the content with the design team and makes sure the content is up to what is needed So essentially he is the boss of the lead team and actually helped make nothing all he did was OK the raid, he deserves no credit for the raids development, imagine spending months working on a creative project and your boss gets all the credit even though they did nothing

But in currents times Luke Smith directly controls everything bad about the game. No no no. He's just the lead of the Destiny team right now. All that means is that he OK'd sunsetting and other choices. See how asinine you sound? Get a -blam!-ing grip. Although Luke Smith didn't physically create every part of VOG, he sure as shit helped DESIGN the mechanics and overall backbone of the raid. As for "Luke getting all the credit" Luke himself states multiple times in the article that this was the work of the team and he's extremely happy/proud with how it all turned out. Also, what exactly do you want? Do you want the individual names of all the employees that worked on it? That's not public. Luke was the Lead Design, which means he was heavily involved in the planning/design process of VOG.

Lol Lead Design does nothing so your entire argument is done, just because you thought it was some big and important role because of its name doesn’t mean you were right Lead Design is basically just the boss of the design team, and as you should know if you have a job the boss doesn’t do what the employees do what they do is manage the employees, he didn’t help make anything he just kept the team in line. I can give you more links to destroy your stupid argument and show you that a lead design does essentially nothing, and you are acting like he did so much when he did literally nothing, ive done creative projects and i prefer to be a lead design because I do nothing during it except say “yea thats good”

I read that article and didn’t see him say he was lead design And Kotaku has been a very bad place to get your information, and it is were Luke used to work so there will be a bias that favors him Lets say your as old as luke is now which is young, were you the same person you were 6 years ago Next time use todays luke instead of a version of him 6 years ago When they mention VoG they mention how big if a effort it was, and im not sure if you know what a lead designer does, and ill tell you if you dont know, its not literally what the title means its just a top position that reviews what the design team does. So ultimately he wouldn’t have done anything to design the raid just give the OK. Imagine giving all the credit to that one position smh

1. It's literally the title of the article, AND the first sentence that he was the Lead Design. 2. They've literally said they aren't making in drastic changes to VOG. As it's not worth the effort and would ruin the spirit of the raid. There's likely going to be champions added. That's it. Big -blam!-ing woop. 3. Lead Design is involved in coordinating various parts of the project, and making sure that it all comes together in a cohesive manner with a good plan. While Luke likely didn't code every grain of sand in VOG, he likely planned a large amount of it's mechanics that made it so fun. It's almost like there's a reason that he got promoted after the raid released.
