Authenticating & Crossplay Problems
I am unable to authenticate my Steam account due to an unknown issue.
I have tried to authenticate it, but it just doesnt work and tells me it is the wrong steam account, but it is my only one which is very confusing to me.
Currently i have Crossplay enabled and a year ago i was able to play with my Linked Xbox account/characters on Steam/PC, but at a Friend of mine, since i havent had a pc at the time.
Is there any way of Unlinking the steam account?
I really would like to stay on this Bungie account since its about 6 years old and i dont want to lose my ingame progress, so is there any way this can be done?
After trying multiple times to Authenticate my steam account i tried to log in with steam and that had worked, but i couldnt add my xbox account since you need to authenticate the accounts you have enabled crossplay on, to remove them/disable crossplay/account linking.
So now im kinda stuck and dont know what to do.

I would suggest contacting Steam support, and requesting their assistance in recovering the login credentials for the Steam account linked to your Bungie profile. When contacting Steam, do not mention cross-save or Destiny, as that will potentially confuse the staff with what you are needing help with. Just explain that you have forgotten the login info for the account, and would like to recover it. The account in question, is this one: Kuno (ID: 76561198996619323) If Steam support cannot help you recover that account, then you will not be able to authenticate it for the deactivation of cross-save, nor will you be able to unlink it from your profile. While you state that you only have one Steam account, the fact that your Steam account has its own Bungie profile, while another Steam account is linked to your Xbox account for cross-save; means there are two Steam accounts at play here. So you need to be able to access the account that was used for your cross-save, before involving another Steam account.

4 RepliesHello. To be clear, you are able to authenticate the Steam account now but not the Xbox account? You need to be able to authenticate your accounts in order to unlink them. You will need to contact Xbox Support to help gain access to your account.
