Thinking of switching most of my pvp play to PC...but...

I realize some might think this crazy but I’ve been playing a lot more on PC and I just feel the game runs better smoother and it matches the fast pace of the gameplay on PC. This is despite what I see as a worse stacks versus solo matchmaking issue along with the occasional suspected cheater that I see. Now... realize I came to destiny from being a Battlefield PC vet. I was drawn primarily to the gunplay which at the time felt the best on console I’ve ever played. That mostly still remains the same. I'm starting to feel that overtime using a controller has actually made me a worse player and has diluted my mouse and keyboard skills tremendously. moving primarily to PC will undoubtedly tank my KD for a time until I regain some of that. I’m trying to feel that my public facing KD isn’t really that important. Just wondering what people's thoughts are.

  • Don’t. 1. Cheating is rampant on pc right now, and I’m not sure Bungie can get it under control. 2. Destiny is as much or more a game of movement as it is a game of shooting accuracy. So I’m not sure a switch to mouse and keyboard would be worth the effort. But the game does feel faster on pc and Stadia than it feels on Xbox and PS4. While it’s worth the switch for pve, I think you’d just buy yourself frustration and headaches in pvp on pc.

    • KD doesnt matter unless you're claiming to be a good player and you have a negative kd. Just chill in pve to get used to m+k again.

      • Of course pc is much faster than console but wait for next generation systems and that will most likely change a lot. As for m and K vs controller. Obviously m and k are better but in no way should you be getting worse just because you play controller. You’re still improving your map awareness, how you approach fights and your overall game sense. This should transfer over to m and k but you’ll need to relearn a lot of your aiming and movement abilities. Maybe try some aim trainers like covax or something similar. I’ve heard it does a lot. Just stick with it amd you’ll see your KD increase back to its normal standard and keep moving upwards as you improve.

Stop caring so much about KD. Period. I've played with thousands of people and some of the least fun players to party up with were stat junkies. Also, if you feel better using a controller, try to master Last Word + Controller on PC. It's still filthy. You will be untouchable at close range if you can master it.
