Trials sucks but that’s a terrible “solution”...
What it needs is more rewards for casual players, not a matchmaking system that’s intended to increase casual participation by means of pushing better players away from the playlist.

I’ve said it numerous times, but I’ll say it again: I guarantee that if Trials loot could have a slight chance to drop at the end of matches, people would be more willing to play it.

We need multiple weekly bounties like in D1, and tokens need to drop after losses again.

I’d rather have loot drop at the end of a match like in D1.

Aaand cue the over-dramatic nonsense... What will push players away is feeling punished for playing well, and not being able to go Flawless more than once per weekend as a result.
Aaand cue the over-dramatic nonsense... And you’re telling me that all these swagger jockeys couldn’t go flawless more than once a week if they have to play players at their own level?
-
Because the game would literally change your matchmaking algorithm to ensure you have a sweatier experience for the next card??? And yes, that’s simple math... Whether you’re good, bad, top 1%, bottom 40%, or anywhere in between... If you’re matching players at your skill level, the chances of going 7-0 or 6-1 are VERY slim.

-
1) No it just ensures you play players also flawless this week, that’s any team that went flawless.
... Right, so the majority of players in that pool will be good players and there will be much less variation in skill level.
2) So you’re telling me that if you’re good bad or in between you should be playing players below you so it’s easier for you to go 7-0 or 6-1?
Everyone should play everyone that’s on the same # of wins. It’s not about it being easy. It’s still sweaty at the back end of a card.

The larger the player population, and players moving up tiers as they improve their record means more variety in the “gone flawless group”. I get it, sweats don’t want to play each other. 2) Currently it’s sweaty at all ends of the card. It’s clearly about it being easy because your concern is it’s hard for players to go flawless against equal competition. Isn’t that the point?

As soon as you (predictably, by the way) try to write off someone’s argument as “sweats don’t want to play eachother”, especially when the “sweats” support card-based matchmaking (which by nature has sweaty games at the back end cards), that’s everyone else’s cue to disregard anything you have to say on the subject. I remember now why I normally ignore you. You never actually have anything to say lol, and there’s certainly not an actual discussion to be had, just you spouting off the same talking points from your side of an issue.

I asked you to answer questions to explain your opinion beyond the vague, and then responded to what you said directly. Now I’m getting some vague passive aggressive personal attacks. An “actual discussion” isn’t just me agreeing with you, especially when you aren’t even making a real point and substantiating it. I already explained why your characterization is incorrect, but you ignored those points to go after me. If you’re just going to ignore what I actually say then you’re not having a discussion anyway.

Uuuuhhh 😂 I answered every loaded question you asked me and provided an opposing point of view, but per usual you didn’t consider it. What questions did I ignore? I’ll await your rebuttal to see how you spin this one. 😂

It’s all right there in the thread in black and white. I didn’t say you ignored my questions but you did actually ignore one.

Oh come on lol. Can you not stop spewing bullshit for one second? I’m not gonna go through and copy and paste every reply I made, but whether you agree or not with my points, anyone with a shred of objectivity can see I answered to the best of my ability and made points that were well-structured and made sense. I only went after you personally after several replies in, because every comment you made contained some kind of passive-aggressive trope about Trials players. It has nothing to do with you disagreeing with me.

You went after me personally because you couldn’t go after my points. It’s a typical ad hominem attack. Happens all the time. I will continue to ask why you think that it’s punishment for players to play against others at or above their skill level, but only when it applies to players of a high skill level. That isn’t a logical position to hold.
-
He answered your points exactly, no denying that. Trials is already sweaty at the later ends of cards and while there are solutions to increase interest in trials for casuals there should be nothing changed about flawless Your solution would have weaker players going flawless easily in later days of the week, we can discuss increasing token drops, armor and/or weapon drops and having more drop bounties. But lighthouse is meant for the top - not everyone.

Edited by RussellMania: 7/31/2020 8:41:03 PMI don’t think he understands how card-based matchmaking works. 😂 You will almost always play sweats for Wins 6-7, Trials isn’t some kind of stomping ground where we can beat up on casuals, unless someone is token farming in lobbies on the front end of a card. Saying we don’t want to play eachother is nonsense.

Edited by Haunter: 7/31/2020 8:41:48 PMHe's delusional, I've tried to debate it many times but he starts to make ridiculous arguments each time He'll probably soon call you an alternate account of mine too

Great random personal attack though. Very chill.
He's delusional, I've tried to debate it many times but he starts to make ridiculous arguments each time
Yeah lol... He isn’t willing to have his mind changed and is never willing to admit fault. If you prove him wrong on something he will retroactively shift the narrative instead of admitting his own error. You ever watched one of Steven Crowder’s Change My Mind segments? He’s the guy that walks by the booth and yells “Racist!” but declines an offer to sit down and have a discussion. 😂

It was sarcasm, guy. 😂😂😂 I was comparing you to that person, not saying that you are literally them. You must be fun at parties. 😂😂😂
