Regarding the Currently Disabled Exotic Armor and the Triggers for Their Known Glitches...

I was thinking about posting this in the Destiny 2 Feedback section of the forums, but after thinking about it, it might be better to say this here. I don't know if this input will help but I do not think that the fixes that you guys on Bungie's end attempted to apply to the exotics have or will be long-term fixes for these bugs. There have been things I haven't been completely accurate about that I post on here though. For some issues that I report, after lots of testing, it seems like things go one way and then later after playing the game normally, I come across something else related to said issue that seems to draw up different conclusions. A bit of issues have inconsistent circumstances that can vary between different items/entities and occurrences. That being said, with things like Winter's Guile, Wormgod Caress and Felwinter's Helm, the trigger for initiating the glitches are very consistent in one regard: You have to unequip the armor and then re-equip it. While Winter's Guile and Wormgod Caress basically have the same effect of permanent bonus melee damage, Felwinter's Helm apparently allowed you to trigger its debuffing effect on any type of kill. So the effects can be different and some of them have to be prepped in certain ways, but the main trigger for the bugs are basically the same thing. I can't get on to my point without saying this though. I found out that this type of thing is not limited to exotic armor. Charged with Light mods and their effects can also be manipulated in similar ways. The prepping is still slightly different, but the trigger is the same: Unequip that armor piece and then re-equip it. From my initial discovery, it seems like with High-Energy Fire ("While Charged with Light, gain a bonus to weapon damage. Each defeated enemy consumes one stack of Charged with Light."), if you are already Charged with Light and you swap around your armor for the trigger, you can get unlimited High-Energy Fire damage where kills will not consume stacks of Charged with Light. I can retest and record this later if necessary. Besides that one, there was also a time in the past at The Tangled Shore where I did something similar and Quick Charge ("Become Charged with Light by rapidly defeating multiple enemies with Fusion Rifles or Shotguns.") bugged out. This bug was kind of similar to Felwinter's Helm. You could gain stacks of Charged with Light from any type of multikill final blows instead of just fusion rifles and shotguns. You could kill two enemies back-to-back with melees and trigger the perk, which shouldn't happen. I haven't had the time to try and recreate this one yet, so I'm still not certain if anything has to be prepped for it to work. Now on to my point. I believe you guys have had to disable Wormgod Caress for the third time now and it's basically been for the exact same bug with just a different way to prep it. I would like to be optimistic about your next fixes, but considering how many times exotics have been disabled lately and why, I'm not holding my breath. I'm not sure how you guys seem to be going about and attempting to fix these bugs, but if this keeps happening and Ammo Finder perks of all things are being used to prep some of these glitches, then who knows what other methods will be used to trigger the glitches later. It could potentially be just about anything else. And considering that it's not just limited to the exotic armor and the trigger is basically the same thing, that leads me to believe that it's not an armor issue at all. Not sure how many others are thinking the same thing, but I'm pretty sure this is some general game/inventory loading bug. I think it's definitely possible considering how many times my Guardian on my inventory screen has loaded in with a default model before and this. So what I'm thinking right now is that if it is some loading issue with the inventory and you haven't tried addressing all of this as one yet, as long as you don't mess something up, you could fix the issues from there and cut off all of the current armor bugs and potential ones down the road. That's a big "if" there though. I could be wrong. Just going off of my game experience and programming knowledge for this. If you need any video footage of Charged with Light mods glitching up, do tell me. I'm pretty sure I can replicate the High-Energy Fire mod bug. I just hope they don't get disabled because of this. That would mess up a lot of my builds.
