Last Word nerf feedback, and possible solutions for fixing it.

Dear Bungie, With the introduction of Season 10 a lot of major sandbox changes were made, some great, others questionable, but one that has stood out as by far the most drastic adjustments were those of the Last Word. TLW has been by far my favorite gun in destiny to use, and this has been since I acquired it in Destiny 1 year 2, before the Taken King nerfs happened. This gun has a long history with me, and having used it on console for so long, moving to PC was a night and day shift, although I also prefered to aim down the sights. Pre-nerf TLW on pc was bery strong, admittedly a little too strong, but these nerfs have rendered it almost useless in the current sandbox (which is enjoyable to say the least), but I think they went too far. The effective range of TLW is about 15 meters, vs a spare rations or rose which can stretch out to almost 30. A shotgun like Mindbenders ER is 8 meters. Given that most people wont run at you in a straight line, a good shotgun player can close the gap to those 8 meters and win simply because aiming down sights is no longer viable, and hipfire is not consistent enough on PC. On console, hip fire and ADS don't feel too bad, but console has more aim assist compared to PC, and TLW was unchanged except for the damage adjustments. On PC, hip fire was never a viable option for TLW, or most guns in general. I get that you want to make it a hip fire priority gun, but this wasn't the way to do it. So, here are my solutions to help revert/bring up TLW to the level that an exotic gun should be, as right now, it is practically unusable. 1) Re-vamp the damage model. I'm thinking something in the realm of 80/40 (crit/body) for hip fire, that way you can 2 crit one body most guardians to help combat shotgun rushers (the whole purpose of this gun). You could maybe even do that just for the first 5 or so seconds from swaping to it from another weapon. For ADS, I think it should be 52/41, so it could 4 crit 5 body, instead of 6 body, since that is not good enough for the pace of this game. In general, the damage model is not competitve to other weapons, because hipfire is extremely inconsitent on PC. 2) Extend the range. It doesn't have to be spare rations level range (27 meters), but I think 15 - 20 meters while ADS is a good middle ground in between other hand cannons and shotguns, since some shotguns like Chaperone, can kill at around 13 meters. 3) Give it back some stability while ADS. Simply put, too much kick was added to it. I'm not suggesting it be as steady as pre nerf, but stability adjustments need to be made, since PC recoil retention needs more space the harder a gun kicks, and having to pull down 6 inches worth of mousepad to keep a gun steady is a little absurd. This is an exotic weapon, and a fan favorite at that. These nerfs were too harsh, and need to be looked over. I'm not demanding that my approach be taken, but something needs to be done to give this gun a little more utility. These are simply my suggestions. In the mean time, keep up the good work, and I hope someone at bungie reads this and conveys this message. Much love, Wraith (Voyc on Steam)
