How to make Factions in D2 matter!

I know it's mentioned in the latest director's cut Faction Rallies aren't returning anytime soon and I'm fine with that, but I do think there is still a huge opportunity to make Factions matter without doing the rallies bit. Other MMOs have groups similar to Factions within their games that add an important factor in a way a person may choose to play. I think with the introduction of the new armor system and multiple stats associated with them provides Factions in D2 a perfect opportunity for guardians to expand on their play styles. For example, let say you choose to join Future War Cult. By joining Future War Cult you gain a 5 point buff to two of your armor stats such as Intellect and Mobility. By joining Dead Orbit you gain a 5 point buff to your armor stats Strength and Resilience. And last but not least when you join New Monarchy you gain a 5 point buff to your armor stats Discipline and Recovery. And since these are Factions, a player can only choose to be loyal to one faction at a time. Now that you have chosen your Faction and have your 5 point armor stats buff out of the gate it's time to increase those stats. The way to do that will be to increase your Faction rank similar to other vendors with tokens. Faction tokens can be earned through typical activities in the game as well as specific faction bounties similar to other vendors. Once collected, turn those tokens into the Faction vendor to rank up. For every 5 ranks a player will gain 1 point that will increase the stats associated to that Faction. In a season you can limit the max Faction rank to Rank 50. Therefore, once a player reaches the max rank the total bonus or buff points that can be added to their armor stats is 10 points plus there initial 5 point buff for joining that Faction bringing the total to 15 points that can be earned to their armor stats within a season. And of course with every rank up a player makes for their Faction they receive an engram that drops Faction armor and weapons. And lastly, like every other vendor their rank will reset with each new season. Bungie, I'm sure with your ability to track player activities you can figure out which stat should be associated to which Faction and how many points can be added to armor stats without being OP, but it's an idea I think worth exploring since Factions are still there and, in my opinion, could help expand on how players wish to play Destiny. Plus, in D1 I personally liked showing off my Future War Cult colors and exotic cloak. :)
