The question revolves around your feeling RIGHT NOW, without considering that a new DLC is coming soon. I will do another one after the last DLC of this year pass and we can, if you are interested, check the results and compare them with these ones. If you want to give any explanation it's absolutely fine, but remember that this should not be a post about bits of advice on how to improve the game, those things deserve their own posts. Why? I am doing this because I am genuinely curious about where the community stands after this two DLCs and the season pass formula, the nerfs the buff, the decisions the developers made and their communications towards us, the players. But also because more than upvotes a poll is an easy and efficient way to determine a user base approval.
Bungie you are welcome, I guess some valuable information will come out of here, giving you enough insights on your community mood and feeling towards the brand you are developing. It's market research, in this case, it also tangles with userbase satisfaction, approval, experience and mood evaluation. I am asking the community something that in my opinion has been lacking since the launch of this game, on your politics: their honest opinion and transparency on how they feel about your work so far and whether they wish to spend more for your products based on that. Feel free to use this data however you like, if you will ever see this post.
• I guess it all depends on your personal feelings and wants from a dlc. 30 dollars for a years worth of dlc (10 dollars per dlc) price wise wasn't bad. I'll admit focusing on something specific per dlc isn't how I would approach it, but at least out of the pass we were able to get some amazing guns from the forges, decent exotics (mostly D1) but at least it was something to chase, and some good events. Where I think Bungie went wrong with the season pass is they focused on one thing specific for four months at a time, and that didn't appeal to most players. I would've been more happy with them if they would've given us 2-4 new PVE and PVP maps per dlc (maybe 2 new and 2 returning), more weapons and armor, vendor refreshes, and stop with the power level increases. The bigger dlc wasn't bad, but I didn't like completing it after 2 or 3 months and have nothing to do for the remaining 9 months. There was nothing to look forward to except events. We got a ton at 1 time, but once it was done it was done. In closing, I prefer the pass over the actual big dlc drop, but I really think bungie needs more in them for all players and not focus on a singular model. I think alot of disdain for the pass would be averted if Bungie gave us QoL improvents also on the new seasons (vendor refreshes, making old content relevant, weekly reset refreshes etc). As for buying next year's pass, I would like to say I will cause of friends and such, but the next 3 months and the next dlc will be the determing factor, and right now bungie isn't off to a good start.
