I like the catalysts tbh! Most exotic weapons are amazing without them anyway. But if you really really like a certain exotic it’s fun to try to get the catalyst for it and max it out. I really enjoy the mechanics of this game and play enough that it doesn’t bother me to grind a bit more to make one of my fav weapons even better. Having said that, I totally understand your point of view though. It would be nice if there was a chance for for exotics to drop with the catalyst already on it the way masterwork legendaries drop. That would be awesome!
