Alternatively, Bungie could just stop forcing players to engage with content they don't find engaging, because it's bad, has always been bad, and will always be bad.

  • By that logic all raid gear, exotics, and catalyst should be obtainable in PvP for the PvP players who don't like PvE. Huh, but that sounds stupid. Getting raid gear in the crucible. Almost like certain things should only be obtainable by doing the thing they're tied to.

  • I mean, even ignoring how I wouldn't have a problem with that, because I find linking gear to dick-waving contests tiring, Destiny is not, and has never been, an even split between PvP and PvE. Even remotely. PvP is a vestigial feature slapped on because Bungie spent seven-plus on a primary PvP game series. But Destiny has always been primarily PvE focused. That's just a simple fact of life. Forcing PvP players to engage with the PvE is not comparable to forcing PvE players to engage with the PvP.

  • Except it literally is because believe it or not there actually a lot of people who only play PvP and don't like playing PvE. But no, making gear that has to do with PvP obtainable in PvE is stupid. Just like making gear tied to PvE obtainable in PvP is stupid. They are comparable, you're just being bias.

  • I'm not saying there are no people who play exclusively PvP. I'm saying that for every person who players PvP exclusively, there are probably about ten people who play PvE exclusively. Rather than just going "THAT'S STUPID!" could you, I dunno... form some sort of coherent argument? Because I can't seem to see why it's stupid. It's just a game. If all you want is a gold-star-sticker for doing a thing, I mean, that's fine, but only if that sticker's only value is as a sticker.
