Another day, another complaint about the unholy trinity.
The Last Word is back again! Great!
Unless you're on console, like the vast majority of Destiny's players are. Then it's a short nostalgia trip followed by an infusion into whatever nicely-rolled Blast Furnace you have, because the gun on console exemplifies what I call the unholy trinity of Destiny: bloom, flinch, and recoil.
The video (by Fallout) shows just how different the recoil on KBM and controller are, and the bloom has gone without saying sinfe it was implemented three (?) years ago, or whenever Destiny 1's patch 2.0 went live. When PC players got a taste of console recoil and bloom, it was almost immediately patched out because of the outrage. Now do the same for the long-suffering and oldest group of fans.
There's no more scapegoat to fall back on, and no excuses to not make the game the best it can be. So deliver.
Make recoil more easily controllable on console, and you might start to see people use weapons other than 180-RPM Hand Cannons and 4-round burst Pulses, and either Retold Tale or Dust Rock Blues. Get rid of bloom entirely, and the other three archetypes of Hand Cannons (and all other precision weapons) become more usable. Reduce flinch to D1 levels, and sniper rifles can begin to compete again.
There's no excuse not to do this, and like I said, there's no one holding you back from doing this other than yourselves.
