Dreaming City Cosmetics Drop Rate
Hey Bungie; any chance of an increase in the drop rate for the Dreaming City cosmetics (Sparrow, Ghost, Ship)?
I only need the Sparrow for Cursebreaker and in all honesty it's getting a little frustrating that it just refuses to drop. Even if you just increased the chance for these items to drop from certain activities every week until you got them (similar to the Nightfall system) that would be something.
I'd hate to be locked out of getting the Cursebreaker pin for something that is ultimately completely out of my control.
Edit: I can't believe how many replies this post got! Solidarity, brothers and sisters: I hope you all get the drops you need very soon. For that matter, I hope I do, too!

Yeah the drop rate is completely awful been trying for weeks to get the ghost and sparrow so I know how you feel

I agree with this, but I also think that the raid sparrow, ghost, and glimmering key drop rate should be buffed too.

Remember..bungie said no one liked the token system. I sure wish i had earned tokens to spend on these stupid -blam!-ing items instead of grinding pointlessly for hours and hours.

I should have been curse breaker the 2nd week it was possible except for the ghost that I still don't have. I want the pin as well, but as it looks I probably won't get it before the deadline. For this reason alone I am not actively chasing Riven's bane. Fianlly got the sparrow after over 30 clears last week, still missing the ship. Maybe if and when I get the ship I'll put myself through Petra's run. Wayfarer wasn't bad because I ground out all of that stuff before forsaken. Was happy when I was done with gambit rng on top of rng. Wait til meatball spawns, kill him and nothing, Meatball spawns again.....nothing.

Ship needs to be added to all DC loot tables, NOT just the Shattered Throne. Furthermore, all DC specific RNG related items need to be increased SIGNIFICANTLY.

6 RepliesCan we get a response from Bungie about the drop rate of the Ghost, Sparrow and Ship? I’ve put on a spinfoil hat but I’m starting to believe that only a certain amount of players are allowed to have the Cursebreaker title. I’ve ran the DC missions and challenges on 3 characters since the DC was launched ( well week 1 was under light but you get it) and the Shattered Throne (even solo)every 3 weeks. There has to be something up. There is no way the drop rate is that low. I know i look like I’m crying but I and many others would like some clarification on the matter. Is it bugged? Is there a set group of players even allowed to have it? Thanks.

15 RepliesWhat I don't understand is why a cosmetic item has such a low drop rate. I mean, exotics sure. Special raid items like guns and gear, understandable. Average cosmetic items? From planetary activities? That's a joke and a half. People wonder why players are disgruntled. Well, this waste of time is the proof. Grinding for utter crap just to finish a title that should be achievement based. This right here is why people quit. Unrewarding garbage you can't even compete unless you have a slot machine bless you.

Yet we get nothing but silence from @Bungie as usual leaving players who support this game lost in the dark wondering if anything will ever happen. Does anybody feel like that are talking to a wall when it comes to getting any sort of response from @Bungie.

Why not offer the ghost after completing all the Ascendant Time Trials? Or offer the ship after completing the Shattered Trone solo? Keep the random drop, but also offer it to go along with harder tasks. I went above and beyond and did all these extra Dreaming City things and have all the Destination Triumphs and blah blah blah I run the Ascendant Challenge on 3 characters a week and STILL NO GHOST. I'm almost at the point where seals are becoming meaningless to me. All they do is show off how lucky you are and not how much skill/dedication you have for the game. Bungie really screwed up and won't listen to any of our suggestions. Slowly they are losing players and I don't blame them. Its hard to stay enthusiastic about something you've been working on for MONTHS with no victory in sight. (Working as intended I assume). I've given up on the Meatball ship a long time ago. The sparrow and bow for Rivensbane just doesn't exist...and this damn Starlight Shell just won't drop after all the time and dedication I put into the Dreaming City. At least I'll have Chronicler when the Truth to Power book is done. 😑 If the story wasn't so good I'd have quit a long time ago. -
