Bungie. I like the puzzle.
My only real thought is that you perhaps could have released clues through the web. My initial thought was twitter accounts. One for Rasmussen, Satou and Meyrin that release a graphic of cypher that when combined provide specific direction.
The community would have found this and it would have felt deliberate
