[b]I PAID FOR A FULL GAME.[/b] This notion that NOT getting exotics is making anything special is [b]LUDICROUS.[/b] What good is duplicate protection when nothing drops? What in the heck kind of sense does that make? If the season is three months long, really, one might drop in a MONTH? It is so beyond nonsensical that it's hard to type this without cursing.
Its not a special feeling to never have them drop. Its more a feeling of [b] OUTRIGHT ANGER[/b]. [b]No exotics drop, no year pass is being bought. PLAIN AND SIMPLE.[/b]
I'll just buy Anthem.

I agree. I loved to get back on destiny but this exotic drop is bullshit. In d1 atleast we had xur. Now we only get duplicates. I didnt even finisch the raid and im over 580 light. No season pass or annual pass whats exactly the same. Different name more buyers? Lol. End of the month red dead redemtion till anthem comes out. Fook your dlc

I agree with this totally ive been playing forsaken since i downloaded it and havent gottin a single forsaken exotic to drop , i admit my RNG may be bad but you guys at bungie love to nurf things overboard , well how about tweak it a bit so people can actually have chance to get something special. its utterly stupid to play a game i love and get nothing special , i enjoy the grind but c'mone this is nuts .wether its a tweak or whatever it needs to be fixed .

9 RepliesThe special feeling is when you get that exotic you really want to drop. Thats how it was in destiny 1 year 1 and they tried your way of just giving them to anyone in year 1 destiny 2 and it was not recieved well. The whole point of Destiny is the grind.

Agreed. My light level is 599 now and i have gotten a total of 0 exotic engrams. So duplicate protection wont help me either...because exotics simply dont drop.

Bungie has made a game that most players have paid never to experience in its entirety but to make it possible for only a few to enjoy - a true capitalist experiment!

Bungie realized early on that there are people that will chase the carrot, ANY carrot, from gear to weapons to ships/sparrows to LL. When you look at this game in that light, every decision Bungie has made was meant to lengthen the chase for that elusive "carrot". XP-gate, continuing progression restrictions, terrible RNG algorithims, exotic drop rates..... all of those are to keep people chasing a "carrot" while not noticing how little content is actually available. Why do you think that Bungie has tied so many rewards to PvP? I also will give Anthem a go. Better to try a new franchise with hopes of finding a 'rewarding experience' than to buy into D2 knowing nothing will change significantly (for the better).

Is it a game for streamers, content creators, and other people playing the game 40-60 hours a week (Forsaken)? Or do they want the game tuned for the player who players a couple hours a day? (Year 3, Destiny 1). Bungie can never seem to find a middle ground and seems to always lurch from one extreme to another. The Sandbox team kneecapped the game as an RPG last year. Now the investment team is trying to turn the game into [i]World of Warcraft.[/i] If they don’t rein them in, this game is going to lose a lot of players who will feel that they’re ability to progress is being smothered and their investment in the game isn’t being respected.
