Competitive Crucible is unfair.
[b]This is only my opinion on the matter.[/b]
Ok so I'm a simple man with a simple goal: To get Luna's howl. All I'm trying to do is get to fabled but I'm bombarded with must have so and so KD and not KDA if I want to run with a group. But running competitive solo is like bashing your head through a wall. It's unfair due to you being paired to teams that will dominate you or not to make any progress with your rank. I understand the challenge but to me at least, I can't run with groups because I don't meet their requirements. I feel that matchmaking is broken for this as well as splitting the community so only that 8% will get Luna's Howl just like redrix's claymore from last season. I just think that this is an issue to be dealt with or at least addressed by someone if this is how rewards are going to be for this type of activity. Note that this is not like getting a thousand words where you have a low chance. Anyone can get this reward it's just that with the community acting like this it's just unfair. Let me know your thoughts in the poll.

Problems with comp: Solo queueing and matching 4-stacks Getting matched against players with 5500 glory when you are not even at fabled Facing full stacks of Luna's or Not Forgotten's when you have neither Full stacks of teams using nova warp + Telesto + Nezarec's Sin Telesto in general Luna's + Shotgun meta Losing points when losing games you load into a 3v4, 2v4, or in some cases 1v4 Losing points in lost games where teammates leave Some of these are things I personally dislike, others are problems with the playlist and the current meta that should be addressed so the game type is fun, rewarding whilst still being challenging.

Yes it is. It's put together awfully. And I'm not going to chat with the same people who send me evil ass hatemail of out team loses, my k/d was worse because I was playing objectives not showing off my nsjsnd. And Luna's is way too powerful for how particular the quest is. It's just my opinion but at the end of this season, eh.... It's a hell of a lot harder than earlier on, in brave the whole time. And damned are people mean.

4 Repliesit's in the title of the mode, "competitive". the goal of every match is to dominate your opponent. depending on randoms is never a wise thing, and LFG whose requirements you do not meet are posts you should scroll past. you have the same ability to make LFG posts of your own, join a clan with helpful people in it, there's lots.

1 ReplyIf people want to set high standards that people must meet to join their fire team then that’s up to them, they’re free to do that and I don’t blame them. Playing with potatoes isn’t fun. Your free to complain about them and how poor the community is. But don’t expect any sympathy when you can quite easy create your own post asking other for guardians that are in your position to join you.

11 RepliesYou are paired with teams based on your glory rank. If you don’t meet the KD requirements then tough luck, try to improve it. Luna’s howl should be difficult to get.

2 RepliesJust work on finding a team I’m sure people will play with you. I’ll even play with you because I like playing comp and trying to find people to play with. I already got my Luna’s howl solo and I’m not tryna flex that. I just don’t mind helping out.

2 RepliesSpeaking as someone who doesn't have the patience to deal with Comp... It's not supposed to be "fair." It's supposed to be sweaty and difficult. Everyone complained in D1 about being paired in Crucible against stacked teams, so Competitive was released to give tryhards a place to go and try hard. Nothing wrong with that. Everyone paid the same money for the game and can play how they like, and some people like to run stacked teams and be competitive. It is good that there are special rewards for the upper echelons in PvP and PvE that not everybody will get. Exclusivity is a good thing, it pushes people to improve.

You know i have a problem with all these competitive posts, and that is like the poll shows that for every losing team out there, there is also a winning team. Now ill admit as a solo player it will be difficult to get up to that rank, but with persistence kts possible. I only solo queue and i went on a 4 win streak last night including a game against a full fireteam of 4(they were dirt). Ive accepted that i wont win every game and what might help you out is dont play just for the bounty, play to have fun and accept that losing will happen maybe even a couple times in a row, just always play as a team even if you queue up solo. Dont be the dick that runs off by themselves and loses all your lives in survival. Seriously had a match last night where we only had 3 players and our 3rd level 6 player kept running off and dying. But it was a close game, we had 2 wins to their 4.

1 ReplyI don’t think being put up against better players is unfair. I’m a firm believer of “if the other team is better than you then oh well, get better”. That being said certain aspects of comp are unfair like losing glory despite teammates leaving, or loading the game with less teammates than the enemy.

1 ReplyLook, You'll get a reskinned version of it next season. Just like the Redrix's Broadsword. You don't need the gun, but if you want it. You have a LONG questline awaiting you that will be damn worth it if you have the sanity to withstand such torment.

Only thing I can suggest is to try to raise your stats a bit, improve yourself in PvP so that you are somebody people want to run such a stressful intense playlist with. I'm sure there are a few people in a similar boat that would group up, either make the post yourself or find something buried under the pseudo sweaties posts, it'll be there.

It’s not unfair. It’s meant to be a challenge, and anybody can form a fireteam. If you don’t like someone’s requirements, create your own post. That said, I would like it if they reduced the penalty for loss. It can be very frustrating playing for hours and ending with less points can you begin with. Really, that’s fine, it’s just the amount of points you lose seems to be too much.

You don’t need every weapon. If you’re fixated on getting LH, be prepared for a grind.

BTW im terrible im just answering your question with an honest and productive response. Also play valor for the Broadsword which is a carbon copy of the claymore (same perks etc) from Season 3, you will be able to grind that out and still have one of the best guns in the game just a dif skin.

I mean... it's competitive? Of course, people are going to be looking for high KD for their teams, they're actually... well, in a competition. If you don't have a highly competitive KD, you're a liability to scoring, not a benefit. I don't say any of this to be a dick, but if you can't pull your KD up to match requirements in a competitive playlist designed specifically for competitive play... that's kinda on you. Practice and get better, or accept the fact that this particular item isn't for you.

2 RepliesI think it's alright for some people to get stuff from ranked, while some can't... well, "can't" isn't the right word, maybe "wont" is better. Have you tried to set requirements for your own team? Maybe use your k/d as a reference and see who wants to join? I don't play comp, so I'm not too sure what's a "good" kd, and I won't be getting the Lunas howl Wish ya luck my man, Nano

Make your own fireteam with your own requirements. And it's normal for people to ask for similar stats as they have or even higher, because they don't want to end up carrying their teammates. Join a clan that actively plays Crucible or post on LFG.

1 ReplyComp is fine. If I can solo it, so can the majority. People have got stop looking for handouts and show a lil determination. If 4 man stacks are getting you down, form your own group, with your own requirements. Don't chastise others because they don't want to play with you. Improve and show people that you can be an asset to their team. If worst comes to worst, just wait until next season when they will likely create a quest to obtain a reskin of the weapon. That's what I've done with regards to the Claymore/Broadsword.
