Hi there! To obtain Patrols, new players must achieve the highest level possible with the expansions they have, and then level up (i.e. If players own expansions up to Warmind, they must reach Level 30 then level up). For Forsaken owners, players must play the first couple of missions for patrols to unlock.

PLEASE MAKE THIS CLEAR SOMEHOW IN GAME. it was just luck i looked at this page and saw this topic. i had decided NOT to play forsaken with my newly created titan because i believed this was a bug needing fixing. my titan may well have gotten deleted and started over again and again trying to fix this, or just not played at all while i waited for a patch note that said the bug was fixed. alternatively, make each vendor responsible (not asher mir... make ikora responsible for telling you about patrols there). my preferred solution; after ghaul dies, speak to zavala. he is the logical one to say patrols are needed, with cayde obviously on an urgent assignment. he should then tell you to go coordinate with devram in the edz to find out what the issue is with the non functioning beacons in the system. devram then tells you there is cabal blocking on the frequencies, but that cabal on mars have been disrupted so much by something that their jamming their ceased, reasons unknown. he then puts the quest marker on the map to stop cabal jamming mission. like cayde used to.

  • Thank you very much for the reply and detail. This is the first time Ive seen anyone explain this. Maybe I missed it in patch notes? To be clear then, since I have Foresaken I will need to hit 50 and then level up once? My friend ( has up through warmind ) will have to hit 30 and then level up once? Seems an odd way to open patrols, but again, thank you for the reply and info.

You (Forsaken) should see patrols after the first couple of missions. Not level 50+ Your friend (not Forsaken) will require max level + an additional level up.
