Hi
You say you have upnp enabled but your also port forwarding this will conflict with upnp so try just using upnp nothing else as this is the only way to have multiple consoles on same network also you cant rely on your xbox nat status as it doesnt seem to be accurate .
Hope this helps

Thanks for that advice. I wasn’t using port forwarding, just port triggering (i.e. just making sure that the ports they list are opened) as Bungie outlines in their advanced network troubleshooting. But I suspected, as you mentioned, that you shouldn’t need to enable both UPnP and manually open ports on the router. So I did disable all of the ports I had opened and am now relying on just UPnP. Unfortunately we’re still having problems. Not yet sure if it’s less than before - too early to tell. The biggest problem is still in transitioning from one area to another. We’re usually able to load in to an area & do stuff for a while. But when we go from one space to another one of us will often get disconnected.

Sorry that didn’t work .Im no expert but i think it can only be your router do you know if its verified for multiple consoles as not all do i had problems getting 2 with open nat but found out that even though my routers upnp was enabled it didn’t implement it properly . I done a search on line and found other routers that did implement it properly and have had no problems although with the xbox1 i have to have them set up to the energy saving start up dont know why but they dont have open nat if on normal start up .Hope you get it sorted

I’m happy to report that the issue has been solved. It turns out that it was the most recent firmware update for my Netgear R6400 router. That firmware update seems to have broken UPnP functionality in the router. I had to revert to the previous firmware version in order to restore UPnP support. I did that on Thursday (a few days ago) and Destiny has been 100% stable with our 2 consoles ever since. A Google search of "netgear r6400 upnp not working” found others with the same problem as well as the solution. Thanks for the helpful suggestions.
