Regarding the Solstice event

I was hyped when I saw the new sets. I shouldn't have been. Your guardian receives a common armor set with bad stats to do quests in irrelevant and aspects of the game like patrols, not forget to mention bad rewards for progressing your sets, if not none at all. Unfun What's the point of elemental orbs? They look pretty I guess, but aside from that I don't understand why your guardian has to be weak and not be able to use any exotics. Unfun. Additionally, the five redux missions a guardian had to complete twice each were not fun nor challenging. Ten times more orange health bars which are supposed to drop power ammo but absolutely do not in redux missions, instead you have to deal with a small fixed portion of power ammo at few places and still have to use a scout rifle or graviton lance to kill everything from 10km away. At first it actually felt difficult but that quickly changed into tedious. Unfun After the release of Whisper of the Worm mission my hope got rewarded, but all of the sudden Bungie grabbed my hope and smashed it back into the ground with this event. Why does reaching 400 power level have to be ridiculously boring and time consuming if a month later the caps will already be increased? Everyone will surely have to get their truimph set in order to pass the 400 mark, and not automatically level up to the new soft cap, making all our effort for grinding this mediocre-looking set in vain. I reckon this will be the case. It feels like bungie just rolled out this event and intentionally put idiotic 'challenges' in to complete it all to keep the Destiny 2 players on the leash or fill in dead space in their event schedule like every event has been so far. However, Solstice compared to dawning and crimson days was definitely better experience wise. There's already so much worthless content that this event would actually end up above Destiny 2's average, in contrast to Crimson days and Dawning where everything was eververse and a random unfun PvE or PvP aspect. There was one thing I loved in all this, which was the servitor splitting into smaller cute servitors. P.S. we're fed up with medieval-themed armor in a futuristic fantasy game, stop.

 • The whole point of the event is to reflect on everything we've done until now (thus the Redux missions, with the lower level). Basically, something to do until Forsaken drops. It wasn't meant to be something "new". As you mention, and I agree, it seems to be more interesting than other events they have had.

 • The redux missions weren't challenging? Ummmmm, did you solo the harder blue armor missions? They were definitely hard.
