Um dude no matter which slot a shotgun is in it still takes power ammo and if you have multiple guns that take the same ammo then some weird sharing of the ammo happens. Would be easier with two primaries.

Like Randy said, as far as we know all other shotguns are being moved to either the kinetic or energy slot. That’s why I’m concerned about Acrius’ viability.

Energy shotguns take energy ammo and kinetic shotguns will take kinetic ammo. Wich they already said . The ammo you need for your weapon is displayed next to the slot it is in. Kinetic =white. Energy=green. Power=purple.

No, they said what I did, basically if it was a primary in destiny 1 it takes white ammo, fusions possibly sidearms take green ammo, and anything else that is already in the power weapon slot will take purple ammo no matter which slot it's in. And the rarety of ammo drops will be a bit the same they were in destiny 1.

They said energy shotguns/snipers and fusions take green ammo. Because that is what slot they are in . And ammo required is determined by slot. Wich is why hawthorne's only needs kinetic ammo.

That is not what they said, during some YouTubers test of Gambit that says that when they did equip three shotguns they weren't able to pick up white ammo because no matter what slot their in, shotguns will only take purple ammo.

I have seen multple gambit matches where green boxes gave shotgun ammo. Wich already proves you wrong.

Ok, the reveal streem did a bunch, basically if it was a strong special weapon in destiny 1 it'll always load special and if you do something crazy like two weapons that load special both will have 1 shot before your trying to find ammo. But, running two primaries would be just as effective with always having ammo for both weapons. Bows and trace rifles are obviously an exception to this simply because it takes more for those weapons to get a kill. Still don't understand why this person thinks legend of acrius needs a buff though.

Legend of acrius is already very good. I just wish the catalyst dropped for me after 30 or so prestige chests.
