Your reward for this awsome quest so far, is the one and only black hamm...err i mean black spin... err no its the Whisper of The Worm now! it features a new (and somehow imrpvoed) white nail perk, which doubles your precision damage and grants you the OG white nail, hit 3 and you get instant ammo perk!
Do you have any idea how many websites didn't get that right? Even today Destiny Wikia and Destinypedia, amoung others, claim both the Legendary Black Hammer and the Exotic Black Spindle both drew ammo from reserves after rapidly landing three precision hits. However, that is incorrect. Only the Black Hammer in D1, year 1 generated ammo from thin air. The exotic Black Spindle did not. Instead it drew ammo from ones reserve. The Whisper of the Worm functions like the Black Hammer, not the Black Spindle, although like the Black Spindle, it too is an exotic. They need to try harder to make it more confusing. ;)

  • So the Whisper of The Worm also draws ammo out of thin air like year one Black Hammer?

Yes. That said, IGN, Destinypedia, Destiny Wkia and a couple others claim both the Black Hammer and The Black Spindle draw from ones reserves. However, that's incorrect. The D1 Black Hammer generates ammo out of thin air after three rapid precision hits. Whereas the Black Spindle draws from ones reserves after quicky landing three precision hits. Therefore it may result in confusion when someone compares the Whisper of the Worm, an exotic, to the Black Spindle which was/ is also an exotic although it doesn't behave like Whisper of the Worm, but instead like the Black Hammer, which was/is a Legendary. What I was pointing out is this discrepancy by linking to the websites I mentioned which are in error, thus furthering the confusion. ETA: Weapons that didn't require one to carry ammo for them would be the greatest battle implements ever invented. I have special dreams just thinking about that although I no longer need to bare that burden.
