Nightfall-specific Loot
Fix the RNG on this.
If you say it's not broken, you must have gotten what you were after.
I will tell you how it is, Bungie: We want a grind, not a lottery. You're just gonna push people away when they run a strike 70 times with no drop. That's not a grind, it's a losing Powerball ticket. And that's bs.

After watching the guys I was farming it with get FIVE (one guy got 3 and another got two of them) and me get zero...I would have to agree. Make it a guaranteed drop after 50 or so runs or up the drop rate...and this is coming from a guy that actually FINALLY got one. 0.o I don’t want anyone else to have to suffer. Edit: Should also add that if you do one single scoring run and break the threshold then put on the emblem with the aura you will get credit for that same score every time you run a prestige nightfall and your RNG will be based on that high score. Worked for the guys I was with and had a guy I ran it with after get it on his first scoring run.

2 Repliesit's because most people seem to farm night falls with low score. you have much better drop rates on high score runs of prestige. it even says so in the text that 110000 is the bonuse drop chance threshold

I honestly think there is mechanism where the more you play the less likely you are to get a drop. I got DFA and Duty Bound on my second run each. I don’t grind out Nightfalls. If I get it great, if not oh well.

I'm willing to grind....... I ran Prestige Nightfall at least 60 times. Hell I got a good amount of Faction tokens for level 50 from running nightfall so much. I never got the Weapon to drop. In fact I haven't gotten any of the weapons from nightfall or EP to drop. I have a friend that ran Nightfall once on each of his characters (3) and it dropped two out of the three times!!!!! Putting as much time into grinding like I have and cant get anything to drop makes you re-think grinding or even playing at all. Bungie could at least have something set in game to where after a certain amount of runs grinding for it will finally drop. I feel like I wasted my time these last few days trying to get the drop.

I think they should bring back that one awesome thing they did, after 3 Strikes you get a drop buff. Or they need a token for which buff you need: Catalyst or loot specific. Nice post.

Got over 100k and got Duty Bound, score matters.

I keep trying to tell ya'll, go for high scoring runs. As soon as I started doing runs with 110,000+ it started to drop for me and my party members.
