They said catalaysts will be available after forsaken anyway. Also, I don't think it should be less than 50. I want my hard work rewarded even if it is a grind. Putting it less makes it feel less exclusive that I have the catalyst and those who didn't put in the time got it too. I'm fine pledging to one faction. Pledging to all was just a way to save on glimmer in the end. If you aren't constantly maxed glimmer...what are you spending it on? The only issue I have is that you are screwed if you are a crucible player. You get so few tokens in comparison. Honestly, they should increase your tokens drop with your win streak. That way there is a benefit to play pvp during rally.

  • The ‘hard work’ is just artificial grind because they’ve run out of content until Forsaken.

  • I don't care about your "hard work" in a videogame. I don't want to spend precious time grinding for something that it's gonna be a grind on itself, because catalyst are that, a grind to get on top of a other grind to unlock the benefits, and in many cases they aren't worth that grind (looking at you, Sweet Bussiness catalyst). Catalyst are a valuable thing, I get it, but putting it at the top of the rewards it's plainly bullshit for those who only want the catalyst and nothing else, because they can't bring themselves to care enough about the faction they are pledging to, and the most efficient way to grind is extra repetitive (and you can't deny that). And let's not start talking about the RNG behind getting a catalyst in PvP/PvE activities, because I'm sure as hell that they are lower than 2% of drop chance.

  • If you don't care about the sweet business one, then that is one less faction you'll have to grind. You aren't entitled to anything in the game. Bungie doesn't have to make it easy and simple for you to get anything. You aren't gauranteed anything just because you want it. And don't pull the "I bought the game so I deserve it" argument because every loot-based game has done this. I would have loved to have gotten a warglaive of azzeroth. But I'm not going to complain that I didn't get one, even though I paid money for the game just like everyone else. If you don't like the grind, don't grind. And the argument "they don't respect my time" is bogus. I can only play 2-3 hours a day on average and have no issue grinding for the catalysts. Same with plenty of others. You know what the time commitment is to grab the catalysts and hit rank 50. You either commit your time to it, or don't. They don't try to hide the fact that it will take a while.

  • Sadly, I do love Sweet Bussines, so I went for that first, just to be extremely dissapointed. After that I checked the other 2 faction catalyst and... Sunshot gets a pretty hefty buff to stability and range, and the disgustingly strong Graviton Lance gets a range boost and a Aim Assist buff. Yeah, balance. Bungie knows how to balance for sure. There's the problem, there needs to be a balance between "the grind" and "the reward". Faction rallies (as of now) f*ck that in the ass saying: grind for this or you won't get it. Catalyst are desirable as I said, so are cosmetic items like the faction skins for exotics. Now that is something you have the option to grind for, because it's a skin. The catalyst if you want it you feel forced too because it improves your (favourite or not) weapon (slightly ir significantly, depends on the catalyst).
