What do you mean by "next story?" This wasn't a joke - I'm confused.

Sorry, I put things in the wrong order 1.) you could use this experience to maybe get ideas for your next short story. 2.) about the window, if there is one above the door, and the he/she/it is there drop something on top of it I do get that something like this can be really nerve wracking and it’s happened to me before as well but on a way smaller scale. You really should contact authorities if it persists and if it stops then you know that it was just some prank that got old real fast or someone who just had the wrong address. As for security cameras, you should invest in one if you don’t want the police involved. If you have a gun then make sure it’s ready and loaded. If you have an alarm system and it’s off then definitely turn it on Incase he/she/it gets the smart idea to bust a window. Sorry for confusing and/or offending you in the previous comment. Hope you can get through this unscathed.
