Golden gun??? More like dulled and dumb

Add it to the list. Since the new patch is on its way and I've heard nothing about the topic at hand, I thought I'd speak freely. The Golden gun was the original Hunter super with excitement in combustion and keyhole multi-kills and stopping enemy supers in their tracks. In the glory days of D1 oh how good it felt to get 5 and 6 kills at once with the gun of gold. Before I unleash the tears know this. I'm a Guardian! I've loved The Destiny universe since the first day I played it. So much that I've loyally stood by this very disappointing sequel with the hope that it can be fixed, Almost anything can be right? So I find it hard to understand why Golden gun was another of the MANY things they slowed down rather than pumped up. The 3 shot tier means at best I'm only getting 3 kills, in the 2 seconds I have to fire them. No keyhole or combustion for the chance of that homerun feeling, and the timer is ridiculously slow especially since there's only four enemies instead of six so they're not exactly swarming. Then the 6 shot subclass im not gonna comment on because my depression is now rising by the second. My point is, like so many other things in this game a small change can make a huge difference. It's a super, you should feel super when using it. Extend the timer, enable keyhole and combustion again and BAM! Now you got less Hunters diverting to the noob class smoke spamming, disappearing break your radar from 50 ft away nightstalker. I'm not trying to get famous here but come on the Golden gun is on the back burner for no reason if you agree give this a like and let's see if we can get some attention. I just want to make Destiny great again and ALOT OF TINY CHANGES WILL DO THAT!!!!! #YOUBROKEMYFAVORITEGAMEFIXIT!   • I 100% agree, especially when this is the only damage range class the hunter has , while the titans have the hammers and throwing shields and the warlocks have nova bombs and the dawn blade ranged slashes . They also have longer timers than us , which are similar to the melee super timers . So why don’t we have the same kind of time limit ? Another thing is that the golden gun doesn’t 100% kill if they have shields , Ive shot a few Titans who just walked off without a scratch .

    • Golden Gun ended in D1 D2 has Iron Pyrite Gun. Similar in apperance but worth nothing.

      • Yes these would be good buffs on Golden Gun but I actually quite like 6 shot definitely prefer it over 3 headshots

        • Better not. Otherwise the children they got playing their game might cry about how they have 0 skill and can't outplay a golden gun. I mean people still can't outplay it and they nerfed the damn thing

            The Hunter class was killed off the minute Bungie caved to all the crybabies about an escape ability. God forbid Bungie nerf the Titan wall that I have to plug with a magazine or two to bring down. While of course the Titan escapes or regains health. Nope Bungie decided it would be better to make it easier to kill the Hunter.

            • I think they need to increase the time you have to use your shots, or buff the damage resistance you have when casting golden gun. Giving us more time to strategically hunt down enemies ( because it's too easy to hide from right now ) , or give us the damage resistance to enable us to jump into the fray head on and not get melted before we can get a shot off. Simple.

              • Another gunslinger brother ! I've had my hero moments with gunslinger but that requires me to ALWAYS try my hardest to position myself at the right angles to get the whole team. Where the Strikers and Novabombs can get everyone as long as theyre sitting together..... my gun of gold can be taken down by a potato squad of uriels. Just wish I had 10 seconds minimum to aim and a tiny bit of armor.

                  It's pretty -blam!-ing useless, outside of PvP or Celestial Nighthawk. It can't even one shot a major enemy anymore, and the length of the super is way too short now. Everything is pretty weak compared to D1.

                • Bringing combustion back would be an excellent thing to include in an effort to expand the subclass trees for all Guardians and break away from the awful attunement system we're currently stuck with.

                  • i like the massive easy orb generation and precision damage on bosses of golden gun in d2... thats about the only good thing i can say about it in d2... "practice makes perfect", the perk that charges your super on headshots, needs a huge buff. it saves you maybe 15 seconds on your super currently. this wouldnt be so bad if they gave us real class choices with perk selection.

                  • It's balanced for pvp. Unless Bungie decides to balance the game for pve like D1 was they won't change golden gun. The new sandbox changes are only rolling out now because they had to be meticulously balanced for pvp (I imagine), as opposed to us getting them sooner. I don't understand why pvp and pve haven't been separated, and can only hope Bungie learn their lesson this time so D3 doesn't suffer from the same issues that have plagued D1 and D2 in accordance to this balancing act.

                  • On average ALL supers get 1-3 kills with an occasional 4 or more, Golden Gun should be no exception. Just sounds like whining because you can’t rack up easy kills. Although I do think it should still be able to counter other Supers!

                    • Giving golden gun the ability to deny every super is why they changed how it was. Mayhem was absolutely no fun in destiny 1 once they implemented that feature and I'm glad it's not as easy as that anymore. I think giving combustion to the 6 shot gg and keyhole to the 3 shot one will be a good way to start it, but it shouldn't just be an instant hammer of sol, that would be a problem... Golden gun should get extra time because it can't one shot super as easily anymore and I believe that's fair. The 6 shot one should remain the same as it is however, so that it's more of a "in the moment" type of super, but it should have the fall off be less strict. It's not a bad class or a bad super, it's just too picky and restrictive for the style of how people play. Maybe once we move faster it will make the duration more bareable.

                      • All Supers are a bit lack luster. They're good for trash mobs and not much else with the exception of Nighthawk.

                          • The 3 shot tier should have the ability to hold down the bumpers for the 6 shot mode w/o precision damage, the top tier needs entirely reworked.
