Sooooo.. what about the vex that have pure gold armor? Didn't think it was silica based. I have found quite a few of em in hidden places on nessus. On rocks, trees. Etc.

<Hate to bring up the old word, but "reskin". Those Vex have the D1 models and are simple replacements. Kinda like how you see dead Vandals sometimes in the Cosmodrome in D1, they all use the same models but with different colors. Dead Vex are gold in D2 like how dead Cabal are silver... which is strange because they have "dead" models for the Red Legion.>
