Falcon squad, chapter 1 (A Division fanfic)

So, I’ve been playing Tom Clancy’s Division as an alternative to D2, and absolutely love the game. Along with loving it, it’s given me a ton of inspiration, plus I thought it’d be ironic to post something about the Division in a D2 forum site. So, without further ado, here is my 1st Division fanfic. ————————————————————— Chloe Reed was playing the violin when she got the call. She was utterly fascinated by the instrument, and music in general. She loved the feel of the bow flying across her string, the notes flowing together in a pattern that was inexplicably captivating to any and everyone. She was halfway through Bach’s Partita No. 2 when her watch began to glow a soft orange. Orderly packing up her instrument, she grabbed her standard-issue go bag (which only held the basics- food, water, medicine, and her disassembled M4) and turned to her girlfriend, Betty Black, who was watching her with interest. “Baby, where are you going? It’s dangerous out there, with the dollar flu and all!” “I have to go, sweetie. They’re calling all military personnel, and well, that includes me.” “Please, please, please don’t leave me. What will I do?” “There’s a gun under the bed, use that to protect yourself. We have enough food to last for at least 6 months. Don’t leave, and think of yourself first.” Chloe, after kissing her girlfriend goodbye, turned to the door. “Baby-“ The door slammed shut behind her. Chloe knew she wasn’t supposed to have personal attachments, but she didn’t care. I’ll propose to her, If I get out alive. She grimaced. When, not if. Of course, Chloe hadn’t told her the whole story. Chloe was an operative in the Strategic Homeland Division, an organization that was sent in when things got a little too rough, and the local police couldn’t handle it alone. Katrina, Sandy, if it got bad, they were there. “It hurts to see Manhattan like this,” She said to no one in particular. “I agree.” Chloe whipped around, gun pointed at the unfamiliar man. “Woah, easy there, no need to shoot.” He was also holding a gun, and she saw no markings identifying him as a member of the Division. “Don’t worry, I’m in with you,” He pulled up his sleeve to reveal a watch just like hers. “Some guys jumped me on my way to the base. Caught me off guard. I killed them, though. And I took a really nice jacket. So that’s a plus.” Chloe wasn’t sure what to do. He did have the watch, She decided to just deal with it later. “Ok then,” she responded, and kept on walking. “Mind if I join you?” “Not at all.” ——————————————————————— And that’s where I’m gonna end it! I might do continue this series, but who knows. If I do decide to not be lazy, the next chapter would probably be from that mysterious man’s pov. So basically, his activation story. I hope you enjoyed!
