Lore Question: What happened on Titan before the collapse?
I see a lot of stuff about 'evacuation' and the 'anomaly' in-game?
I wonder what is the story?

There is an announcement in the arcology that says something along the lines 'the Travelers sudden departure from Io is not a cause for concern' Dr Pell and her team detected an anomaly in deep space, they sent more deep space probes to investigate, shortly after the evacuation of Titan appears to have started. The art of Destiny Vol 2 describes the Hive on Titan as a long-forgotten brood that are reawakening.

We don’t know for sure what happened but my theory is that Titan was the first place to detect the coming darkness but it was kept quiet by the government for fear of hysteria.

5 RepliesThe scientists on Titan used probes and satellites to detect the Darkness coming but had no clue what it was. Apparently right after they realized it was dangerous something attacked them Either the Hive we see on Titan now are the reason why Titan needed to be evacuated, or the Darkness itself was the reason. Whatever the case, the Collapse had begun and people were probably dying

one of those things scanned said something abut titan was supposed to be a self sufficient zero waste facility. everything recycled and reused but that was a failure

I can speculate that hive seeders likely landed there. And whatever swims beneath titan also wound up there which is probably the anomaly.
