Over the river and through the woods.

An old Trucker tip to my friends and family driving through blowing snow this weekend. 1. Warm up your engine only. •That means you start your car and leave all the heaters off until you start driving if you let it get hot in the car before you go your windshield won't be below freezing and snow will stick to it. • don't worry with a warm engine once you start driving your feet and the cab will warm up right away as soon as you are going but the windshield should stay cold because of the outside air blowing over it. 2. You will never keep up with the ice buildup on your wipers so don't allow it to build up in the first place. • set your heater on high for feets only and leave the defrost off your windshield if you have ice on your window scrape it off before you go. • if you keep the windshield below freezing the snow will blow right past it without sticking this will allow you to maintain a clear view through blowing snow.
