The new expansion was awesome for me! I previously posted feedback about the exotics, but since listening to your newsfeed and playing the game I can see that you did address a lot of the gripes I had about the base game and now the game has turned into a pleasant experience all around. I have been reading the forums and noticing overwhelming negative feedback about it and kinda laugh because a lot of these people must have not seen your posts about future updates to address more issues. And most people don't really seem to understand even since D1 that Destiny is an expansion driven experience, those who intended just to get D2 and not pay for expansions are fooling themselves into believing that the base game is the final result of what you wanted from your universe. Ridiculous. Like a new book to a series you must invest money to aquire the privilege of following along the story. No one expects to purchase the first book of Harry Potter and expect it's author to fill in all information from later books into the first. For free for that matter. Like an author, your art is your job. Whether fans or critics like it or not. The game industry has changed. Bungie has changed. And so has the expectations. To me games are not of $60 value, with graphics and mechanics of games becoming increasingly complex and refined, I am actually astonished that the price has not gone up for AAA titles. However your creation stood out to me from the rest from the very beginning. My first exposure to Destiny was from Game Informers first cover of it. Well before the vanilla Destiny we Veterans have come to call it. I was seeing stars, grand adventures, and of course, space magic. The promise this game showed was limitless, and I recongnized that before I ever got my hands on it. At the time of release for D1, I was deeply saddened because I had no console to play it at the time and have been anxiously awaiting the day I did. As soon as I had an Xbox One, Destiny was my first purchase, and this was sometime after House of Wolves was released. Since then I have been hooked, through thick and thin I believed in your IP and it's potential for greatness. Come D2's release, I actually bought not only my copy but 3 for my best friends to play with me and I bought their passes as well hahaha! Because I wanted nothing more than to share what made me happy and that was your game. Destiny has come a long way and it still has quite a road to travel. But to me it's worth it to be right there with you guys. And so for those reasons, I'll happily continue to invest my money as you continue to invest your time to evolve this game into a legendary story with badass space magic!
