I would rather see Bungie improve the RPG aspects of this game. I think this would allow more player customization. I posted a long time ago that at it's heart Destiny is first and foremost a shooter. Bungie is still struggling with the RPG and MMO aspects of Destiny. In my opinion, the RPG and MMO aspects should really only apply for PvE and special PvP events such as trials and Iron Banner. Since light or power doesn't matter in the Crucible, Bungie should just normalize the ability rates. It would be cool if they offered speed ups for grenades and supers that randomly spawn on the maps much like how power weapons used to spawn in Bungies old Halo games. There would then be mad dashes to these speed ups like there was sword, rocket launcher, or sniper rifle. It would add a new dimension to PvP. Just some thought how Bungie could improve Destiny.

  • I still think vanilla1 d1 was the best part even though it had its faults and rahool was a tosser but i played every day to get raid ready it was a real grind but worth it. I get players want to go it alone in the world of destiny and should hit high light levels but not max light that should only come from raids trials and iron banner the rest is just fun n gun content. The mmo part kept me playing the fps part made it fun.

I play solo quite a bit. But then I really enjoy patrol. I agree with what you posted. Maybe I am misunderstanding what you mean by MMO. A while back, someone recommended adding bulletin boards as other games have done particularly to get teams together in game for raiding. Bulletin boards could be used for players to meet new people and for clans to expand their membership in game. Also, clans need to be larger than 100 members. I like this approach. I know that Bungie is really promoting clans, but my experience with clans is that when there is new content the clans are active. And unfortunately, the people in the clans still tend to play with the same people. I had four people I played with consistently for several years back in the day. Two on Xbox and two on PS4. But over time they have lost interest in Destiny and only one on each console play for a little bit. The PS clan I am in was more active in Destiny than Destiny 2. They really like to raid, but start raiding too early in the evening for me to partake. I have not yet tried guided games, and don't know if I ever will. I have not had a lot of luck with the various LFG routes on the dedicated sites for in bungie.net. I wish Bungie would allow players to team up in game instead of going to orbit to rejoin. We are all in the same instance anyway. I also wish Bungie would use patrol as the gateway to strikes. They are already doing this for the special strike based quests. Bungie could allow those kind of beacons to be accessed in patrol. The players should be able to pick the difficulity level and enter solo if they are not in a fire team. And if in a fire team, it could be with one or two members. Just some thoughts on how to improve this game.

  • They need to get more guys in that get the RPG aspects and systems. The guys they have now are desperate to relive the Halo days (and catch up to Overwatch) that they’re squandering the near-limitless potential of Destiny, and the only way to see that potential fully realized is to embrace the RPG/MMO aspects of the game and franchise.
