If we assume that tenabra is the darkness, it wouldn’t be too radical to tho think that the WAR CULT wants to hunt them. Whether the tower knows about the triangle ships (highly doubt it), it’s still reasonable for them to know that the darkness isn’t just gone because we can’t see it. I’m sure it’s just some degree of post red war euphoria and sort of nationalism (think age of triumph) happiness and confidence in the traveler now that we are victorious again and the traveler is awakened. More faith in the light makes people want to end the darkness.

Like some ying yang idea, where the darkness try’s to balance the light and vise versa? That would be interesting.

Not quite, bc up until human guardians (potentially), the light always loses to the darkness or retreats

True, but when the light was weak, we saw little to no darkness unless you consider the dark heart. Now that the light is active, the darkness seems... more active.

When the light was weak, the darkness wasn’t present bc the traveler used its last bit of energy to push back the darkness and create the ghosts. But you’re right, with the light coming back, it’s basically a flare signaling the darkness
