Just sayin.
I was right.
That is all.
*Ok vex can't simulate the light, but that doesn't mean they can't trap us inside of a simulation of our reality in our own minds. Is what I'm saying.
**This post is in reference to the Curse of Osiris DLC. Sorry. I didn't think anyone would read it at all...
***From PC Gamer
We also learned a little more about the DLC's new planetary destination, the Vex-controlled "simulated reality" on Mercury called the Infinite Forest, which is apparently where Osiris is spending his time these days. There will also be a new social space, the Lighthouse, which was previously only available to Destiny 1 players who completed the Trials of Osiris. With the Curse of Osiris, the doors will be opened to everyone.

If you believe that it's possible to create a simulation so realistic that it's indistinguishable from reality, than you must also believe that it's infinitely more likely that you live in such a simulation than in the "real" world. If the simulation is truly indistinguishable from reality, then it must be possible, even inevitable that the people living in the simulation would eventually create their own simulation, and so on, infinitely. So, everyone you know is fake and your world is a lie. Good night, kids!

One of the backstories from the grimore cards actually goes over this.

Umm, you're falsely expanding on a small aspect of the dlc. The infinite forest is an area the exist outside of reality. You walk through a gate into it, and you walk out a gate to exit it. Osiris walk through a gate into this simulated reality. I think you jumped on the hype train a little early.

No, I remember this. Didn’t you make a post on this a while ago?
-
The light is the one thing the vex can not simulate that has been confirmed many times hence why Ikora day at the end of the trailer “you are the one thing they have not for seen “
-
-
How are you right? I haven’t seen anything in the dlc trailer indicating we are in a simulation?
-
Then we would have no abilities at all, we would not have regained our Light. The Traveler would not have been able to free itself and destroy Ghaul. Ghaul would not have become a being of Light. It's also unlikely that they could simulate the Traveler. The Taken wouldn't be present.
-
The vex can’t simulate us, dear. That has been confirmed many times. We can’t be in a simulation.
-
My xbox can simulate light but the vex can't, for some reason.

Well we got new subclass from a unknown source. Maybe there the vex estimation of light in a simulation

Edited by b3dd: 11/2/2017 12:02:44 AMIf we can’t be in a Vex simulation, someone should tell Asher Mir, the in-game Vex expert... I’d love to be a fly on the wall during that conversation. He states during the Pyramidion strike that we should be careful as it is likely that the Vex are simulating their interactions at that very moment. Possibly what is meant is that the guardian cannot be simulated, but can still interact inside of Vex simulations.

The vex can't simulate or algorize the light. They can compute other forces like ascendant realms, but not the traveler or the light.
