It is both people want somethings because the last game and the "They had three years to work on it" not knowing a damn thing about how game design works. Some of it is dumb design choices however like the shader issue and the raid hard mode not boosting light in all honesty D1 did a similar thing but it was that you couldn't get certain gear unless it was hard mode like fate bringer the helmet and vex mytho. I guarantee you if all of the old features like private matches come back and other issue get addressed probably in December if they update in a similar way to D1 the game will see a resurgence with forum users making posts like "finally listening to us after 3 years and 3 months" even though for some of D2s issues is the community's fault in the first place.
